my old man works @ mobil birken head told me they have a whole (sorry dont know what there called) big round thing they store fuel in full of av gas that didn't pass controls so it cant be used in aircraft but too high a octane to be sold as pump gas due to stupid regulations

The stupid regulations would be that AVGAS contains lead. This is why it was banned in the motor sport that me and my brother race.

And as for that email; the first time I saw it was 3 years ago and it pops up every now and then, mainly when the fuel price hit's a new record and the media starts coving it again as it's a slow week.
