i need a skyline fer cheap

Recommended Posts

on paper, the R32 GTR is the quickest. But they're getting pretty old now.

You might want to take a look at what Prestige Motorsport can get GTRs for. 1989 R32's will be in the 15 year rule as of January. They are getting in early and offering free storage until then.

The cheapest GTR I've seen them offer was for $14.700.

That included everything except stamp duty and rego (you pay these on any car when you buy it)

I'm pretty damn tempted myself :D

skylinewannabe070, im guessing you live in usa, that means RHD to LHD right? that could increase the cost of buying the car.

Price Range are

R_32 GTR : $15,000 -> $35,000

R_33 GTR : $35,000 -> $50,000

R_34 GTR : $50,000 -> $100,000 (all depends on alot of things with the r34)

Those pricers are all AUS dollar

Umm, i have seen a few R_34 GTR for around $50,000 to $60,000 one was at Prestige, it was at auction, the car had been stolden and the police got it back check it out and everything was good so it went up for auction (i cant remember the price it sold at if i have sometime i will find the link)

I know for a fact a R-34 gtr can be import for around $50,000 if u go and live in jap for a year then come bak to aus (dont know why u would want 2 come back) it should cost you around that. one of my friend who is going 4 a job in jap is going 2 do that.

soulja, can gtr33's go as cheap as $35,000?

yeap, Prestige quote r_33 starting from $35,000 to $50,000 +, it all depends on the condition of the car (kms, good clean car ect.) If i had the money i would import a r_33 gtr and resell it as soon as it got here im pretty sure resale value would be very HIGH :uh-huh:

    • Mixing things up - installed some leather recaros to match the leather seat covered rear seats. Interior looks pretty schmick now except for some slight wear on the steering wheel which I will monitor and address if it becomes worse or actually noticeable!

    • I'm normally copping my own abuse from neglecting my daily drivers. "Those suspension bushes will last a bit more", "Don't worry about the oil leak, just keep topping it up". The project cars I'm always doing things slowly on them as I'm wanting them to be done better, and neater, and nicer. Luckily I don't have to deal with 18 year old Matt's "Learning to wire" stuff in the project cars. And there's only one piece of wiring I'm displeased about in the Landcruiser, and it's about to be cut out... However, the box loads of parts that have been going through this place lately for the Landcruiser... Brake pads Brake Rotors Full handbrake overhaul Wheel Bearings Seals Swivel hubs Steering Boxes Half the suspension joints Shocks Air bags (Ones to go in the rear springs for towing) Water pump Timing kit Lower timing case Harmonic Balancer Radiator Lots of other little seals and shits Gas struts for the bonnet New power window switches And god knows what else I've forgotten... Ha ha ha I have my fingers crossed the pinion seals don't start leaking on the diffs, that the transfer case doesn't leak, and the gearbox input shaft doesn't leak, nor the rear main seal. As they're about the only seals I haven't replaced in the driveline! I'm seriously eyeing off buying new caliper rebuild kits front and rear brake calipers... I'll probably recheck all the valve clearances soon too, and hopefully, it should be all good and sweet to haul some long distance trips again!
    • Every time I pull my 3x gauges out of the console and see the crack-addict way that I did the wiring, and I just can't bring myself to tear it all apart and "make it nice", because it is currently working. In fact, the last time I was in there I probably made it worse.
