this is an even better souva place, flamed fetish, and you dont need to go through the middle of frankston to get there, they also have hj's, noodle in a box, appetito's, charcoal chicken a fish n chip shop and 2 supermarkets, for those that need fuel there is a safeway/caltex across the road and a mobil is easy to get to, and of course a big car park and the part we will be parking in is mostly empty as it is up the back.

if you keep going to mccormicks road and turn right the mobil is at the corner of ballarto rd and mccormicks.

my vote is down for the 6th at 4, i do night shift so 10am would be a bit hard for me to get to.

hell yeaH!!!! along with a light show =P hahahaha

i've done the full length of it a couple of times now and my god it's awesome. it would probably be better in something that doesn't run on deisel and do 0-100 in like a week and a half, although it is nice to be able to see over the top of everybody

All righty Everyone...

Looks like it will be this Sunday, the 6th, meeting at 3:30pm at the Doncaster Park-and-Ride...

I'm still looking at the suggested south meet points...

The first was Melways Ref. 102 A5... ...On the beach between Liddesdale Av and Warringa Rd...

Second was 102 B3... ...The car park for Frankston Pier...

I think W0rp3D suggestion looks good (100 H3)... ...It is just off the end of EastLink where it becomes Frankston Fwy... ...and with the weather looking like it will be cloudy and less than 15ºC... ...Some under cover areas might be good... ...And we don't have to go all the way into Frankston...

And just for the extra Ref... ...Doncaster Park-and-Ride Melway Ref. is 46 J1...

And FYI... ...For some unknown reason... ...I can't Edit the details in my first post...

just so as you know the location i pointed out is not under cover but there are lots of shops and the shopping centre its self to take cover in.

for some reason they have changed the whole board so you cannot edit your posts, makes threads like this and the for sale section a pain in the arse.

Ahh... ...Oh well... ...It just looked like it when I went to Google Maps to have a look for myself...

is anyone else concerned that eastlink itself hasn't shown up on google maps yet?

is this whole eastlink thing just a mass hallucination or something?

according to their satellite images, there is no freeway there at all. just dirt.

damn backwards australians and their dirt freeways...

Just makes it more fun to get the ass out...

i'm in if the weather stays nice and i don't make finals in the tournament im in

if i do make finals i'll have to miss this one

been on eastlink a few times in different spots but think it'll be awesome to do the whole run with a bunch of other lines! can't wait

do we have a time for the frankston meet point?

Oh right... ...Yeah...

I'm guessing it will take about an hour to get down there... ...So lets say 5pm... ...We'll go with 100 H3 (Carrum Downs) as the Frankston meet point... ...The one you pointed out...

I can't get onto the EastLink web site for some reason tonight... ...So I'm not too sure how long it will really take us...

    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
    • By "reverse flow", do you mean "return flow"? Being the IC having a return pipe back behind the bumper reo, or similar? If so... I am currently making ~250 rwkW on a Neo at ~17-18 psi. With a return flow. There's nothing to indicate that it is costing me a lot of power at this level, and I would be surprised if I could not push it harder. True, I have not measured pressure drop across it or IAT changes, but the car does not seem upset about it in any way. I won't be bothering to look into it unless it starts giving trouble or doesn't respond to boost increases when I next put it on the dyno. FWIW, it was tuned with the boost controller off, so achieving ~15-16 psi on the wastegate spring alone, and it is noticeably quicker with the boost controller on and yielding a couple of extra pounds. Hence why I think it is doing OK. So, no, I would not arbitrarily say that return flows are restrictive. Yes, they are certainly restrictive if you're aiming for higher power levels. But I also think that the happy place for a street car is <300 rwkW anyway, so I'm not going to be aiming for power levels that would require me to change the inlet pipework. My car looks very stock, even though everything is different. The turbo and inlet pipes all look stock and run in the stock locations, The airbox looks stock (apart from the inlet being opened up). The turbo looks stock, because it's in the stock location, is the stock housings and can't really be seen anyway. It makes enough power to be good to drive, but won't raise eyebrows if I ever f**k up enough for the cops to lift the bonnet.
    • There is a guy who said he can weld me piping without having to cut chassis, maybe I do that ? Or do I just go reverse flow but isn’t reverse flow very limited once again?
