Was a good event, and a great turnout.. so many nice cars, pity it was dark and raining so couldn't check them all out.

Not sure about the end of the movie though? I was expecting more hijinx.. Like sam was saying, why couldn't they put something more exciting in there?

I didn't really get to meet anyone (but found James), i missed the initial meetup by 5 minutes but managed to find and follow an r34 down (although he got lost too :-) we made it in time fortunately :-)

Had a good time, I thought the movie was pretty cool, was a lot more old fashioned than a lot of action movies, i don't think there was much swearing at all and not too much violence, pretty weird in this day and age.

Well it was a remake and a bit of a cash in at that... chase scenes in the original movie may have actually been better from what I remember... they didn't have that awesome part where all the cars drive up onto that "Sydney Myer music bowl" type scene That was one of the greatest parts of the original and they neglected to try and top it which was a bit disappointing.

I guess Edward Norton (edit: thanx james ) character shooting Donald Sutherland, and then firing his machine gun into the water in an attempt to kill them all wasn't violent... oh and when he killed the informant guy for no real reason.. naw, actually no violence there I could see
