my r33 is hard to start for the first time of the day no matter wot time. i have to keep my foot down the accelerator to start it. once i get it warmed up, its fine. can anyone plz help me with this problem?

that would be much appriciated

also i tried reseting the ecu and it just made things worse, before it would start up run for a few seconds and stall if i didn't press the accelerator in but not it will not start unless i toggle witht he accelerator for like 5 secodns while trying to start

its a real pain in the ass, i'd heard of many suggestions but i need to know from someone who has had this problem

so far some of the reasons could be.

*fuel pump

*fuel relay

*injectors

*fuel pressure regulator

*ecu

*cold start valve

Make sure there's no fuse missing or blown in the driver's side fuse box under the dash. If the fuse labeled "starter signal" (in Japanese) is missing or blown, the car will be hard to start when cold. Do a search for the jap-english translation of the fuse box.

Also, check the coolant temperature sensor.

Just a few thoughts.

    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
