yell and scream in private... hit a punching bag till the feelin goes away or ur hands end up without any skin left, those usually help, then just try and think of how to fix it without too much drama and keep tellin urself its ok, i can turn this into an upgrade of some sort

So far I have avoided this with my R33 this but my previous VL Commodore copped it twice at the same Big W car park in the same month and yeah I was p*ssed off :) . No note, no Icantdriveforshit in sight. So after a lot of choice words I fixed the scrape as best I could and ordered a replacement front bar for the other damage and it was off to the crash repairs.

Where I work one of the night fill guys came back to his car to find massive dents all over it. Apparently some drunk kids thought it'd be funny to run over the top of it.

Personally though whenever I park in a crowded carpark, especially ones with lots of shopping trolleys, I park a fair way away from the main bunch of cars. If possible.

I got in my car with a weapon and paraded the streets at 3am in the morning trying to find the person... only time I wished the car was whisper silent.

That was for a break in.. Im sure for a scratch id find the closest damaged car with paint and light it on fire.. or open it and perhaps jam a trolley inside it.. that would be funny to watch when they come back.

I hate people with no respect for others property. I give so much respect to other people and hope karma smites the rest down!

:P

on another note, if i park somewhere dodgy, or where the person in teh spaces near me are extremely close, i right myself a txt message with license plate and colour and save it in the draft section of mobile, htat way if i come back and find green paint then i know the jerk couldnt get out the space alright..

although i guess this doesnt help if ur there for a while and a few cars give it ago.

on antoher note, my dads car was reversed into whilst it was parked for a weekend in the airport security parking lot, int he veiw of two cameras, they security staff said unless it was stolen, they would not use the cameras to find the person responsible. :P

As im a depressed individual already i turn to my draw full of pain medication, amphetamines and sedatives.

my front bar took a scrape which i just noticed today, cruising on opiates and benzos now.

now i have an excuse to fit a z-tune full kit asap

some knob bac in to my newly fitted veilside rear bumper and killed it. when i was at the movies in melb. car park was not full or tight fit. they didnt leave a note or anything. just lefted my with a big bill. It still make me mad today and it been two years now. I will never park my car in a car park again unless i can see it.

Do you think then, that there are usually 2 reasons as to why some guys (who can afford it) get a 'daily-driver' ??

i) a car that uses less fuel and

ii) one that matters 'less' if it does get 'hit' or 'keyed' ?

I do have a daily driver (VT SS) but i was in melbourne for the easter nats. I live in the country. I think other people should just give a shit about other people stuff.

my old car (VT SS) was parked in the side sttreet next to mine cause all my mates had parked in my driveway and some werent there to move cars so i thought it would be alrite, i came back in the morning and there was one long key mark around the whole car down to the metal and the bonet and the roof had 'F**K YOU' in massive letters also down to the metal. couldn't drive it anywhere cause people just looked at it in shock. I'm pretty sure i know who did it cause 2 weeks before a mates r33 had bricks chucked though the windows and another had her E36 BMW keyed and paint stripper tipped on, my work had to write it off

scum of the universe!!!

these people deserve a horrible horrible punishment.

But what makes me even angryer is that if somone does a burnout (for eg.) and no one is hurt.. the person cops a fine and disqualificatioin WORSE than a drink driving charge which kills thoughts of times more than than burnouts a year.

And.. if someone damages our car.. which have 10's of thousands of dollars spent on it.. the cop goes "oh.. umm.. yeah.. there isnt much we can do"..

grrr.. I know its left feild.. but I needed to vent

Shit man, that really sucks. :D And there's usually nothing you can do to figure out who it was. I just hope it's not to expensive to repair.

Ryan,

I like your COMPASSION mate. Keep it up - whilst so many angry idiots are keying each other around you!

    • Could be. Could also be that they sit around broken more. To be fair, you almost never see one driving around. I see more R chassis GTRs than the Renault ones.
    • Yeah. Nah. This is why I said My bold for my double emphasis. We're not talking about cars tuned to the edge of det here. We're talking about normal cars. Flame propagation speed and the amount of energy required to ignite the fuel are not significant factors when running at 1500-4000 rpm, and medium to light loads, like nearly every car on the road (except twin cab utes which are driven at 6k and 100% load all the time). There is no shortage of ignition energy available in any petrol engine. If there was, we'd all be in deep shit. The calorific value, on a volume basis, is significantly different, between 98 and 91, and that turns up immediately in consumption numbers. You can see the signal easily if you control for the other variables well enough, and/or collect enough stats. As to not seeing any benefit - we had a couple of EF and EL Falcons in the company fleet back in the late 90s and early 2000s. The EEC IV ECU in those things was particularly good at adding in timing as soon as knock headroom improved, which typically came from putting in some 95 or 98. The responsiveness and power improved noticeably, and the fuel consumption dropped considerably, just from going to 95. Less delta from there to 98 - almost not noticeable, compared to the big differences seen between 91 and 95. Way back in the day, when supermarkets first started selling fuel from their own stations, I did thousands of km in FNQ in a small Toyota. I can't remember if it was a Starlet or an early Yaris. Anyway - the supermarket servos were bringing in cheap fuel from Indonesia, and the other servos were still using locally refined gear. The fuel consumption was typically at least 5%, often as much as 8% worse on the Indo shit, presumably because they had a lot more oxygenated component in the brew, and were probably barely meeting the octane spec. Around the same time or maybe a bit later (like 25 years ago), I could tell the difference between Shell 98 and BP 98, and typically preferred to only use Shell then because the Skyline ran so much better on it. Years later I found the realtionship between them had swapped, as a consequence of yet more refinery closures. So I've only used BP 98 since. Although, I must say that I could not fault the odd tank of United 98 that I've run. It's probably the same stuff. It is also very important to remember that these findings are often dependent on region. With most of the refineries in Oz now dead, there's less variability in local stuff, and he majority of our fuels are not even refined here any more anyway. It probably depends more on which SE Asian refinery is currently cheapest to operate.
    • You don't have an R34 service manual for the body do you? Have found plenty for the engine and drivetrain but nothing else
    • If they can dyno them, get them dyno'd, make sure they're not leaking, and if they look okay on the dyno and are performing relatively well, put them in the car.   If they're leaking oil etc, and you feel so inclined, open them up yourself and see what you can do to fix it. The main thing you're trying to do is replace the parts that perish, like seals. You're not attempting to change the valving. You might even be able to find somewhere that has the Tein parts/rebuild kit if you dig hard.
    • Can you also make sure the invoices on the box (And none exist in the boxes) are below our import duty limits... I jest, there's nothing I need to actually purchase and order in. (Unless you can find me a rear diff carrier, brand new, for stupidly cheap, that is for a Toyota Landcruiser, HZJ105R GXL, 2000 year model...)
