For the last week or so now, they've been featuring pregnancy type topics on SAFM because Cosi's missus is about to give birth in 9 days or so! What peeves me off is that Amber has suddenly become some expert in child birth. Yet, she's never even been preggers! :P

Actually, its not just Amber but alot of women that peeve me by playing the "child birth is the most painful" card, yet they've never had kids and/or never intend to! You can't play that card you stupid women unless you've endured that pain. I believe that most women (non-mothers) play up on the child birth pain just to sway agruments and get sympathy.

I broke my shoulder in February this year and I put up with alot of pain for 3 solid weeks. I only got sleep when I was knocked out by the drugs. I was in pain for 3 weeks, not mere hours, and I'm sure my pain at that level would rate higher than child birth. Yet, a few days ago some 'child birth expert' argued with me that my injuries would not have compared to child birth.

"Really? Ever broken your shoulder?"

"No."

"Ever given birth yourself"

"No ... but ..."

"Then STFU until you've done both!"

Now, I don't compare my shoulder injury to child birth (I know thats a foolish exercise), but these 'child birth experts' with no experience feel the need to compare child birth to my injury. And just listening to Amber "child birth expert" Petty stick it to Cosi over this issue, when she has no idea or qualification at all, just shows how truly blonde she is!

My stupid (ex)wife deprive me of fatherhood, because she didn't want to put up with "the pain" and that it scared her. That is the most piss weak excuse I've ever heard. Yes, I did f**k her off after that. That pretty much killed the marriage. (Don't judge me on this, there is more to the story ... details I will not share here). Its funny how she played that card as an excuse. Females (especially those who have never had kids and/or never intend to) will play on the "child birth" argument to get their way, or support an argument she want to win ... and no girl wants to be wrong do they?

[end rant]

Sorry if this gets to any of the mothers out there (all you girls who haven't had kids, dont' bother). I'm an uncle to 10 nieces and nephews and I've been present at more than half of their births. I've seen the differing levels of pain each of my sisters/in-laws went thru and child birth is still a wonderful thing. There was nothing 'wonderful' about breaking my shoulder. I have nothing but respect for mothers ... especially my own. But please don't play that piss weak card "but child birth is the most painful". Its been used too often and by 'unqualified' people.

I guess Ambers comments on radio have opened some old wounds (in more ways than one). She is naive and has no grounds for argument at all. I use to think she was hot ... but now she just annoys me. I don't expect everyone to agree with me. I have my reasons and my own story/experience on this topic, which you guys will never understand. Some of you guys (Ben and Nene) know a little about that and would prob understand me and where I'm coming from. ... ah, feeling a bit better now

:D

Well i agree there lonely stag. Its like saying that 400rwkw is too much power, but you have never been in anything over 250.

I think radio presenters feel the need to make shit up to keep their job, they have to sit there for hours and talk shizz the whole time. I think Amber is one of those people who take something and run with it, now shes in so deep in the argument that she can't back pedal.

Im sure childbirth is painful, but at least you get something good out of it. Breaking your shoulder, sweet fa out of that, besides a few weeks off work and some sympathy sex from the mrs once your healed.

Anyway, that's what a fkn epidural is for, i mean i can't talk coz i have never given birth and i don't plan to, but if you have the choice to numb the pain, and if i was in the labor boat myself, 10/10 times id say drug me up. Natural childbirth FTL, you end up witht he same thing at the end of the day, no matter how it comes out.

You've never given birth and you don't plan to!?!? :P Sorry just found that funny!

Totally agree with you both but there's one underlying thing here... radio presenters are paid to talk shit, as far as I'm concerned, Cosi is just as bad as Amber but atleast they are better than the tool they replaced... Lehmo. I remember when I first started uni and they had him there doing stand up for O-week, he got continuously heckled and it was quite possibly the funniest thing I'd seen as he had no come-backs. :D

That radio station is like Days of Our Lifes!

Problem with these "C" grade celebraties is that they think ther life is so much important than anyone elses.

Hence whats the big deal with child birth, there are people doing it everyday all over Adelaide, yeah and most of the population understand it does hurt, so why the hell keep going on about it.

Why dont they get back to talking about real shit, like how gay they all really are!

Broken shoulders are no fun either broke mine twice but loved the drugs!

My wife gave birth 9 months ago and was doing fine until she lost her way during delivery...It was only then that she felt in "real" pain. As soon as i had her refocused and breathing properly again she was fine. A lot of women "lose focus" during delivery and this is the main cause of pain and discomfort. Delivering a child is a mental effort more than a physical one (my wife will back me up on this one) and if your not the sort of women who can control your emotions and mental focus then you will find delivery a painful experience.

LOL... i dont like many of the popular radio stations full stop, part of that reason being having to listen to shit talking know it all idiots like Amber.

Unfortunately, I have to listen to Nova in the mornings (the Fitzy Jules and Lisa show), because the missus likes to get up at the bloody crack of dawn and controls the alarm clock. But those three are bloody hilarious... i actually wake up laughing... they shit stir anyone and everyone.

Yeah... isn't she only on the radio cause she was one of Princess Mary's bridesmaids? Its like Nicole Cornes and Amanda Blair... totally opinionated without having half a brain to look at the other side.

As for childbirth, I've known some girls who've given birth and said it was nowhere near as bad as they were told. And no woman out there knows what its like to get kicked in the balls or come off a bike and rip ya scrote open.... happened to a mate of mine and I can guarantee he was screaming a lot louder than a woman in labor...

Lol this thread has definitely started going downhill ;)

It was on its way downhill from my very first post :)

I'm waiting for the ladies to log on and have their say ;)

I'll let ya know what the wife thinks about child birth in about 7 1/2 months!! Thing is she's looking forward to it, doesn't want an epidural or anything, wants to do it as natural as she can (its our first)

I think that talk of cutting haemorrhoids out and scrote-related injuries may scare the female population away ;)

Hrm I used to listen to JJJ back when I was in highschool. after that, the music on all the stations got worse as did the presenters. That fitzy guy is a joke. Why is he even famous? Big Brother.... guys as phony as they get, has to put on some boofy blokey larrikin type voice to make him seem more ocker... makes me wanna punch the guy in the face half the time... I don't listen to the radio, but everytime I see that mongoloid on TV..... theres only so many things I can throw at the TV....

    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
    • Place the new daughterboard in the case and mount it using the 3 small black rivets provided, and reconnect the 3 factory ribbon cables to the new board Then, use the 3 piggyback cables from the daughterboard into the factory board on top (there are stand offs in the case to keep them apart. and remember to reconnect the antenna and rear cover fan wires. 1 screw to hold the motherboard in place. Before closing the case, make a hole in the sticker covering a hole in the case and run the cable for the android unit into the plug there. The video forgot this step, so did I, so will you probably. Then redo the 4 screws on back, 2 each top and bottom, 3 each side and put the 2 brackets back on.....all ready to go and not that tricky really.
    • Onto the android unit. You need to remove the top screen because there is a daughterboard to put inside the case. Each side vent pops out from clips; start at the bottom and carefully remove upwards (use a trim remover tool to avoid breaking anything). Then the lower screen and controls come out, 4 screws, a couple of clips (including 3 flimsy ones at the top) and 3 plugs on the rear. Then the upper screen, 4 screws and a bunch of plugs and she is out. From there, remove the mounting brackets (2 screws each), 4 screws on the rear, 2 screws top and bottom and 3 screws holding in the small plates on each side. When you remove the back cover (tight fit), watch out for the power cable for the fan, I removed it so I could put the back aside. The mainboard is held in by 1 screw in the middle, 1 aerial at the top and 3 ribbon cables. If you've ever done any laptop stuff the ribbon cables are OK to work with, just pop up the retainer and they slide out. If you are not familiar just grab a 12 year old from an iphone factory, they will know how it works The case should now look like this:
    • Switching the console was tricky. First there were 6 screws to remove, and also the little adapter loom and its screws had to come out. Also don't forget to remove the 2 screws holding the central locking receiver. Then there are 4 clips on either side....these were very tight in this case and needed careful persuading with a long flat screw driver....some force required but not enough to break them...this was probably the fiddliest part of the whole job. In my case I needed both the wiring loom and the central locking receiver module to swap across to the new one. That was it for the console, so "assembly is the reverse of disassembly"
