hahaha cool so you'll pay the other 30k for it :D

Hahaha just goes to show how much i know about skylines :D

Look i just take the photos ok?!?! haha :D

Keen for cruise? :D

nice pics fullyhyperlite, good framing and lighting, nice to see  you shooting RAW? Much post production? (Photoshop). u tried sending them to some car mags, you might get some freelance work to cover events, cruises, shows, things like that (could put a little bit of cash back in your pocket). You have to sell your self a bit in the industry, can be the worst part about it. also, try taking some photos of normal, boring road cars, try and make them look as good as the photos you've already posted here. If you can make them look good, taking photos of cars you like becomes a lot more fun :D

Bingo,, you now have your mission to make mine look as good as these posted

yeah i think everyone is up for a cruise

Hey thanks heaps for the kind words :D I really appreciate it.

I only shot half of those photos RAW, the other half just normal. And photoshop use is quite limited, only changing levels. Apart from that - nothing else has been edited.

Yeah sending photos into car magazines sounds like a great idea. I hadn't actually thought about it, but if it could get a lil extra cash in my pocket im all for it haha. Best thing about it would be getting paid for something i LOVE doing, which is always a bonus.

Yeah a few mates want me to take photos of their cars, and they aren't anything flash either. I'm thinking of maybe making myself a website, showcasing my best works, or something along those lines. Get my work out there a bit :P

Im thinking for meet spot of cruise - possibly near Marion. Do people know where the Marion Cultural Centre building is on Diagonal Rd (the really ugly looking one haha). Maybe in that carpark...or like the marion side of the building because there wont be many cars at Marion at say 11am. And then from there head down the coast.

What do people think? ANy particular coast spots that people know of that are good to stop at?

Anywhere along the esplanade near largs pier and semaphore... nice area and theres a stretch with a big carpark

No probs :P , try and do as much using RAW and in Photoshop as you can, when you apply at most places for this type of work, that's one of the 1st things they will ask you 'can you use Photoshop?' It was one of the 1st programs i learnt, then everything just went from there, prob should not say this, but even try get yourself a dodgy copy for home (even an older version), just so u can use it as much as you can, thats how i started (and sooooooooo many others), i finally did pay for a copy, 7 years later  (places i worked paid for most of them) but now i'm a good boy and pay for all my software. hurts the bank balance tho :D , you think cars can get expensive

Yeah photoshop is soooo complicated. Like im good with editing the things i already have, but not too great with creating things, and the whole airbrushing thing is way too complicated but id love to know how to do it. Ha i already have a dodgy copy at home. My auntie actually bought it when she gave me this laptop so iv currently got CS2 on my Mac.

Ha yeah Photoshop is quite expensive to buy. But yeah, learning to use it properly is going to be tough haha. Its ridiculously detailed haha.

marion 11am im out but may catch up later depending on how south you go

Could possibly go as south as Seaford. Thats depending on whether or not people are keen to go from marion, through hills and back to the coast again. But i know a few good coast spots down south. - O'Sullies Beach boat ramp is big and where i took the photos of the 300zx and 34 and that'd be cool to get a few group shots down there. Really up to people and how far they are willing to drive, especially you Northies

why would you pay for it? ive been using CS2 for about 3 years now, got a whole bunch of plug ins and filters and there all "dodgey copies" all worth close to around 2k by now...... just curious as to why you would pay for this stuff?

Shhhhhhh you!! lol i have your photos hehehe. When you want them? I'll have time at the end of the week to get em to ya i reckon. Or maybe just wait till the cruise?

After enough years of doing that, i think at some stage, if you using it all the time for a living, you should pay for it, I've had the opp to learn a lot of different programs over the last 9 years, which i would hate to add up how much it would all have cost. I now only use a few all the time, and they are exactly what i need, most of the plugins i need now, you can't find dodgy copies (I've tried :worship:), Saphire plugins for Aftereffects, Final Cut Pro starts at 2k US (I don't need that, just an example). so i have to pay for others, same with most industries. That's fair

i thought you were going to do a proper cruise i almost PM'ed you

>>Like this one<<

maybe where not all thieves, do you walk into target and steal your socks too :worship:

    • I guess one thing that might be wrong is the manifold pressure.  It is a constant -5.9 and never moves even under 100% throttle and load.  I would expect it to atleast go to 0 correct?  It's doing this with the OEM MAP as well as the ECU vacuum sensor. When trying to tune the base map under load the crosshairs only climb vertically with RPM, but always in the -5.9 column.
    • AHHHH gotchaa, I'll do that once I am home again. I tried doing the harness with the multimeter but it seems the car needed a jump, there was no power when it was in the "ON" position. Not sure if I should use car battery jump starter or if its because the stuff that has been disconnect the car just does send power.
    • As far as I can tell I have everything properly set in the Haltech software for engine size, injector data, all sensors seem to be reporting proper numbers.  If I change any injector details it doesnt run right.    Changing the base map is having the biggest change in response, im not sure how people are saying it doesnt really matter.  I'm guessing under normal conditions the ECU is able to self adjust and keep everything smooth.   Right now my best performance is happening by lowering the base map just enough to where the ECU us doing short term cut of about 45% to reach the target Lambda of 14.7.  That way when I start putting load on it still has high enough fuel map to not be so lean.  After 2500 rpm I raised the base map to what would be really rich at no load, but still helps with the lean spots on load.  I figure I don't have much reason to be above 2500rpm with no load.  When watching other videos it seems their target is reached much faster than mine.  Mine takes forever to adjust and reach the target. My next few days will be spent making sure timing is good, it was running fine before doing the ECU and DBW swap, but want to verify.  I'll also probably swap in the new injectors I bought as well as a walbro 255 pump.
    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
