The dragon finally lives again! :)

We're back on track for TWP. It's over 50kw's down on power from where it was but I'm hoping the changes will actually make it a faster targa car. Guess we'll know in a week or so!

Very pumped now!

Good to hear Ben.

Only shitty thing about rookie now is the big prize has gone - but I still think its an awesome place to start out if you're new to the event.

Even though you're hardly new to the event!!

what big prize has gone?

What car? 33 or 32?

32

The "free entry to Targa Tas the following year" prize for winning Rookie has gone.

I was the lucky last winner of that little gig.

Its been replaced with an entry to TWP the following year now.

And thats only if it is run, so no guarantee.. although it looks like its popular enought to continue.

So Mt Stuart..... I want to do it, and have mentioned it to Giant that he could run his fast R32 GTR instead of the tub of lard he took last year, but he keeps changing the subject. Should I take this as him beiong scared of a couple of four-eyed tossers in a bucket of bolts GTS-t?

Discuss.

Well if Russ can run his car then yeah he's just scared. That being said - I'd be scared to run that car through the tree's too! LOL

The wide expanses of a racetrack with lots of run-off is where I'd want to be in it.

But it's good to know its a relaxed event. I'm really keen to do a few different things next year (this year is booked out already).

I think we could share the driving duties and whoop him :(

Oops, I just opened a can!

hmmm that's gay about the rookie winner.

I definatly see it as Giant being scared, he fears the rb20 powah

On a brighter side, every Rookie winner has binned it the following year.....

Im not game to say much more :(

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
