The guys have done and lot of work and given up their own time to do this, thanks guys.

Even though its been a while with no hoodies or updates, I doubt Adrian And Damo are just sitting around twiddling their thumbs. I trust them (although I haven't even met them!) and I'm not complaining about this. I know something is happening and eventually we will get our hoodies.

If its next week or next month, or even a few months time, we will get them and whatever the wait is, I'm sure its definitely for a good reason. If we get the hoodies as they are now in a months time, well at least we know they tried to do something.

I don't care how long it takes, to do something right, it sometimes takes time.

Everyone just needs to stop complaining and wait patiently, like the majority of the 87 or however many people ordered a hoodie. Stop asking for updates, when progress is made (as in when we can get them), I'm sure we will be informed.

On that note, lets close this thread and close any others that get opened for useless complaining.

Tom.

Dont get me wrong, i can see how you are all pretty frustrated with it. Its frustrating me a hell of alot, all this is on me and im trying my damn hardest to clear this shit, coz i really dont need the stress, but accept its my fault. A couple of people have pm'd me and i have responded, you just gotta ask.

just pm us! were happy for it and if u really need to know then do it! not too hard..

u think were sitting here doin nothing about then ur bloody wrong... we have so many emails back and forward we are dealing with.. so maybe cut us some slack...

*grabs popcorn*

Nah but seriously, the problem I can tell here is the lack of communications - it shouldnt be up to the buyer to wait around and eventually question whats going on with their purchase - I'm sure quite a number of the 87(or whatever) buyers are very keen to know whats going on but dont want to ask publicly due to the few that HAS ask receives an answer something along the lines of "<insert a few lines of profanity> STFU HTFU stop whinging and wait like the others rah rah rah!". At minimum an update, and probably a "thank you for your patience", in the form of a short PM/e-mail would help put people's mind at rest aswell as maintaining buyer's confidence and prevents multiple threads and post popping up questioning whats going on.

My 33c *sits back and just f**king chilling out aye*

well plenty of other ppl have asked and they know wats going on so y dont u ask... i c the ppl asking arent posting up F**k wit comments on here!

so if u ask u recieve! instead of being a F**king hero on here..

not everyone wants to know as they are happy to wait...

back here was the "please join mailing list" post in a thread that is still avalible and the reason why they have moved to e-mail rather than posts. it even states that people dont read, and the numerous times i've supplied this information for others to access as well

but for the REALLY slow/arrogant ones of you:

-you cant do mass PMs on SAU

-they never collected peoples emails with the orders, so how would they have them?

-they asked for your emails if you wanted updates and you either missed the post or read it and CFB'ed singing up, for most SAU people that i know read and post in the wasteland, STFU!! for interstate buyers they have a legit point, but someone has usually answered their "where is hoddie" posts pritty quickly

IMO they could use the 4 hours it'd probably take them to personally PM everyone on the list and put that time towards fixing the situation

for those of you who can't operate a hyper link, here are the people you need to contact to be informed/signed up to the list with:

Adrian [email protected] (organiser #1)

Damien [email protected] / [email protected] (organiser #2)

Sled [email protected] (Biker dude that will f**k you up if you ask any more stupid questions) :)

the information is there, i dont expect them to personally PM everyone (coz of the time it takes), and they have offered e-mail updates!!! as much as this has been a cock up, you guys aren't helping

and before anyone runs off to start another group buy, we need to sit down and talk stuff out with the people that are actually wanting to help, i would sugest Madaz, Adrian, Damo, PK and myself as well as anyone else who is interested get together one night and have a good chat about this, form a plan of action on what to do, probably get MULTIPLE quotes, talk, get some fourm opinions, get back together discuss some more... then act. without this i think it would be silly of us to start up another group buy!! if you like we can start talking about it at villis this friday, we have alot of potential contacts and resources... why not use them??

    • Thanks everyone for the replies and suggestions. Got the seats out (hoping I could find some existing grommets but no such luck). By tapping and measuring etc. I could figure out where I could drill through if needed. But first I borrowed an inspection camera and managed to go through factory holes in the chassis rail and could see that the captive nut was holding steady which is why it could retighten. So it was indeed a stripped section of thread, so I applied downforce by levering the bolt head with a screwdriver and went slowly back and forth until it came out. Camera helped a lot cos I could monitor that the captive nut was holding tight. Now I just have one very seized main subframe nut to tackle 😅
    • BOVs do have a purpose, if you ever log pressure before and after the throttle body, you will see a spike pre throttle on lift off from a WOT condition. Enough to bend throttle blades / damage e-throttle motors or simple assist in blowing off cooler pipes. FWIW, the above on really applies to those running at least 2 bar of boost. OP shouldn't have an issue, on the other hand, here are some videos of my shit box over a decade ago with some succulent dose with the airbox on and off. That shit box is unrecognisable these days 🫠
    • I've tried all different combinations of BOVs/ no BOV and stock bypass valves over the years, on gear changes the stock bypass valve seems to get the car back on boost quicker because in part the turbos wheel speed isn't being slowed down by reversion, although they have issues holding boost much over the stock setting. Most aftermarket BOVs you can adjust the spring, tighter will make it open later and close sooner, but in my experience it'll cause a bit of flutter at low load/rpm anyway. I've also got some input into this whole no bov causing turbo wear, never had an issue on any on my turbos HOWEVER, I got my R33 GTST with 200k kms on it, with from what I can see still has the original turbo, no lateral shaft play but has about 4-5mm of play in and out which to me seems like a worn thrust bearing from years (100-150k kms?) of turbo flutter running no bov, so maybe there is some truth to it in the long run. But that'll never stop me loving the Stutututu while I have the car.   OP just wants to know if he can run a atmo vented BOV with no major issues and the answer is YES, plenty of people do it, there's no harm in installing it and seeing how it runs before spending $$$ on an aftermarket ecu, last time I bought a Nistune it was $2400 for install and a tune , unsure of todays prices but you get me. Crazy money to spend just to fix the minor inconvenience of stalling that can be overcome by letting the revs come down to near idle before putting the clutch in or a little bit of throttle to avoid it. You're better off leaving the ecu and tune for after a bigger turbo/injectors have been installed to take full advantage of the tune and get your moneys worth.   Let OP have his Whoosh sound without trying to break his bank haha
    • I see you missed the rest of the conversation where they have benefits, but nothing to do with avoiding breaking turbos, which is what the aftermarket BOV made all the fan boys, tuners, and modders believe was the only purpose for them...
    • But they do so for the other reasons to have a compressor bypass. It's in the name.
