hey guys,

i'm looking at upgrading my brakes on my n/a r33 with gtst brakes, been looking around the forsale section for a while but not much luck.

so i wana find some skyline wreckers around the S.E suburb area that would possibly have some r33 gts-t brakes

i have seen the sticky at the top of the vic section but its fairly old and none of the sites seem to work

any help is appreciated,

thanks, leigh

just be careful if you do go there.. make sure you do ur research on prices and what to look for interms of wear and tear... I have had a few things done through them before and they are pretty dodgy....occastionally though they are really good on prices if you know what you are looking for.

good luck with it....

personally I have done this to my car...if you cant find it for a decent price or decent condition just wait a little... unfortunetly for whatever reason we skyline drivers have a fair few accidents and these parts are almost always for sale in wrecked cars..

what exactly am i asking for? what did you do?

for a 5 stud conversion also so im looking for:

hubs, rotors, calipers and do i need brake booster? or gtst lines / control arms or anything like that?

well.. mine was a little different to everyones else's..due to being a gts4 I had to find the 2 front complete arms off a gtr (not easy to come by) i already had a full set of gtst calipers ready and some stock rotors... so I didnt need much else... except for just some simplye gtst rear hubs....

that way I did the full 5 stud conversion and brake upgrade at the same time...

if you were going to do it.. you would need the front hubs (or do what I did which was alot easier and get the complete front arms-apparently made it half the job at the front for the mechanics) rear hubs... rotors... pads.. gtst calipers..brake lines.....brake fluid? thats mainly what comes to mind...

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
