chrissyo
Im assuming $250 is for new skirts? What would it cost to get a set stripped back and painted? also is it possible to do it with skirts attached? im failing to see how im going to remove mine without damage Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/233520-how-to-get-r33-sideskirts-primered-and-sprayed-in-white/#findComment-4095352 Share on other sites
kevzilla
yer you can do it with the side skirts still on the car its just a matter of masking up the rest which will probably add to labor costs. what area are you from? Luciano
you should take em off for painting Chris, end of story. Whatever damage you presume may happen by taking them off is fixable. if your car has factory side skirts, they are most likely held on by clips, a few screws, and a very minimal amount of double sided type adhesive. They are quite easy to remove. If you have aftermarket skirts on, they have probably been slapped on with sikaflex and maybe a few screws that are out of the usual sight of the car - eg in the wheel arches Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/233520-how-to-get-r33-sideskirts-primered-and-sprayed-in-white/#findComment-4096275 Share on other sites
chrissyo
i have aftermarket skirts. they are jun. so 2 screws in each wheel arch the rest is heald on with a liquid sealent like silicon. I had to peel part of it back when i was installing my lambo style doors....its stuck on pretty darn well! Damage looks like snaping the things in half Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/233520-how-to-get-r33-sideskirts-primered-and-sprayed-in-white/#findComment-4097951 Share on other sites
