That sucks - sorry to hear. But I have an awesome pager alarm & 2 kill switches, yet I still put a premium Club Lock on my car if I am going to park it anywhere for longer than 5 minutes. How you could park a Skyline (at Enfield of all places) without an alarm is just beyond me. Surely your insurance won't pay since you didn't have an alarm? Just Cars were very explicit with me about no alarm = no insurance.

Usually once you're car gets stolen you're very unlikely to see it in one piece again.

Sorry to hear that. Hope it works out with your insurance. It was pretty stupid of you not to put alarm in your car though.

Crap end to a crap story! I feel for ya, sadly you can't have anything nice these days without some asshole trying to take it from you. But as Andrew said, parking a Skyline without an alarm ANYWHERE is asking for it to get stolen. I hope insurance does cover you for this, it would be a big hit $$$ wise if not

im with shannons so they were ok with me not having an alarm. no need for the harsh critisism shit happens

^^^ im sorry but that statement of shannons saying it was ok to give you insuracne without an alarm is total and utter bullshite.

you have to have an alarm on your car to be insured with shannons. im with them so i know.

hrm odd, they made sure I had an alarm AND immobilizer before getting coverage. maybe thats cos its a gtr. who knows

lol different car, that car is sold over in victoria now current car is kept in a locked garage, and fitted with a number of other security measures, including immobiliser/alarm

^i know for a fact full comp with just cars requires that u must have a aus standard imobiliser or else claim = failz

Alarm has to be Australian Standard aswell - they'll check by taking a squiz at the alarm remote and can tell from that!

lol sorry damo, go check the small print cause it will say you need an aus standard imobilizer, yes you can commence the insurance (i did that then read the small print) but if it gets nicked and they find the car with no immibilizer then you failzz......dont beleive me call them tomorra

what for, i got an alarm now they never state (when your signing up) that claims = fail if you dont have an aus standard alarm and immobiliser.
