Geez you're lucky Dean! :) I haven't had a neighbour complain yet and I always fly around here!! :(

Fingers crossed I've never been pulled over or hassled in the 18 months I've had my car - I'm still paranoid and hate being within a 15 mile radius of cops but what can you do? If they're going to pull you over, there's nothing you can do... I just hope I get a decent cop like that :)

I have been told that mine was too loud, HP pulled me over when I went past them, then they tried to convince me that the stock BOV was aftermarket & they were going to defect me. let me off but not without reving my car on his way past.:(

I make the seat brown when cops are behind me, whether I have or havent been doin somethin wrong.

I think everyone feels the same way about this when cops are near by - we all shit ourself. Who here is cool calm and doesn't give a shit?

GFXMan, as you were sayin before, even though we get shafted for doin stupid shit in industrial area's, it's still illegal.

Even though you're mate was on his fone for 10 seconds, it's still illegal.

miss33, come waste some tread in my area and hear hte god squaders complain.

Yep I hear ya timmy, i get lumpy pants too when I see cops, especially the females ones..

I think its just skylines owners in general that always get pulled over.. it seriously blows.... If i take the ute out instead of the skyline, i dont even get looked at... take the skyline out, alawys come home with some loss of demerit points...

I get the sadz.

Honestly I don't normally care if there are cops around.. if one pulls up next to me i just ingnore them , don't even bother to look.

I have been followed before , also a cop did a u-turn behind me.. never got pulled over, been stopped at numerous breatho's and never questioned about my car.

I may be lucky who knows, but i just go about my general business and have never been hassled.

I have not been pulled over once in my Skyline and hassled.

Now saying that i have been pulled over when I had the VT (GFXMan you will remember that one ).. but i deserved it as I was driving in a "racing fashion" down Anzac HWY.

In over a year of owning the R34, I have only been pulled over once. Just the other day, in the hills, I pulled out on a blind T junction & nearly got cleaned up by a Police Motorbike! He did a u-turn & pulled me over. He let me off with a caution. Hardly even looked at the car! i am always polite & unless i was speeding, usually dont have a problem. touch wood.

Ive noticed the copson bikes thru the hills are ok, ive been flying down Gorge with my mate video taping, then two cops coming to opposite way point at me to slow down.... Phew they didnt chase after me.

Anyway its all on tape, makes for some enjoyable footage.

Haha that was so un fair :) How about the 10 second GTR or the 11second gazelle up front? Always the backmarkers that get done ;)

na the cops are out to get p platers i got followed for bout 15 minutes the other nitght then he pulled me over and fined me 190 dollars for not indicating long enough and took away my last 2 demerit points now car will b of the road for 6 months (they wont catch me next time) :P

na thier definatly are laws for skyline drivers and laws for others how often do u see the ******** wits that drive commodores geting book the sh*t they pill on the roads is out rageousbut the cops dont cain them down as much as they cain us down .

timmmay i was drivin down anzac just the other day and i had a cop just cut me off no indication at all then at the lights a cop on a bike was goin in between cars to get to the front its f**** bull*** that they dont practice wat they prech i heard the other day theres a blitz on around the flerieu peninsular so evry 1 would probably want to avoid there

    • Must have been an absolute nightmare to drive when the power steer was out, the rack ratio/wheel size/caster is all set up for power assistance
    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
    • I wanted to try and preserve the front bumper as long as possible, they're not cheap and are made to order in Japan. Taking inspiration from my previous K11 Micra build where I made an undertray for the Impul bumper, I did the same for this BN Sports bumper but a little slimmed down.  This time round I only made a 'skid plate' (if that's the correct wording/term) for just the bumper surface area, the Micra version covered the gap like an undertray. Starting off with a sheet of mild steel approx. 0.9mm thick 4ft x 2ft in size. I traced around the bumper, cut it out and cleaned the edges. Luckily I was able to get two halves from one piece of metal In the video I installed it as is, but I've since then I've removed it to spray and add a rubber edging trim. The rubber trim is suitable for 1-2mm and it's a really nice tight fit. The bolts had to be loosened due to the plates being too tight against the bumper, the trim wouldn't push on I used some stainless M6 flat headed bolts for a flusher finish (rather than hex heads poking down), I believe this style fastener is used for furniture too incase you struggle to source some. The corner's are a little wider, but this may be an advantage incase I get close to bumping it  The front grill got some attention, finally getting round to repairing it. Upon removal one fixing pulled itself out of the plastic frame, one side is M8 that fixes inside of the frame, where as the other side is M5. Not knowing I could get replacements, I cut down an M8 bolt, threaded it inside the frame along with a decent amount of JB Weld.  The mesh was replaced to match the bumper. One hole on the bonnet/hood had to be drilled out to 8mm to accommodate the new stud, once the glue had set it could be refitted. I think the reason the grill was double meshed was to hide the horn/bonnet latch (which makes sense) but I much prefer it matching the bumper Bumper refitted and it's looking much better IMO The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVZP35io9MA
