Hey,

Converting my R32 gts-t from RB20 to RB26.

Has anyone here done this before? What difficulties did you come across and is there anything I should know beforehand?

ATM I have the 26, PFC and harness, which is all I need to get started, I hope.

Thanks ppl!

GTR Sump needs the diff chopped out and welded up to get it in (as you'll notice)

You might need to 'massage' the firewall a little depending on your choice of dump pipes (i had to im my HR31)

RB25 box needs a different crossmember (thats from memory)... as i hope your not using the RB20 one, it wont last long at all.

Thats about it, motor/loom and just power it up and should be fine.

Change the O2's while its out too, and the turbos... (if you can) $$$ job later and costly if they let go and kill the motor

Thanks for that, already had it welded with addition of tomei baffle too  forgot! Yea I want to fry my box :D will replace it later

^^^ too true all the import 26's i've got over the years pretty much shit the turbos after as little a month... they really dont like sitting idle. in the scheme of things a set of cheap garret 2860's would be a wise investment...

After a quick search here are the threads id be reading if in your shoes :/

If there's any other questions i guess you could start anoter thread or PM the guys that have done it before. Id also go to a few workshops and have a chat with them about what you want to do as they may have some info for you, or even a quote so reasonable that its not worth your effort to do it yourself ;)

What are your plans for it? Twin turbo, single? Mega power sort of thing or a daily driver?
