Haha I'll reply cause I'm bored too :O

Favourite restaurant... Italian Kitchen in Kaleen ever since Cafe Della Piazza closed :P

Best steak - Charcoal Grill

Fave shop - Portmans!! Welcome to DFO and anywhere that sells shoes, Steve Madden is a very nice addition to Canberra.

Car wash at Mitchell goes alright, always less busy than the Gunners one.

Bestest food van - GSpot!

Fave pubs - All Bar and Kingos

Fav roundabout is that big one near the war memorial at the very end of that road ;)

And Fav online shop is RHD Japan. Lotsa Jap goodies for my car.

Ok everyone else's turn to talk shit now.

Well, I'm procrastinating, so...

Pub? All Bar Nun is close, but if I'm in town there will often be a stop in at PJ's. The Kingo is never a bad place to spend an arvo.

Eat? Agree with Kat above about the Kaleen shop, but since I've moved I've become partial to Mee Sing at the Lyneham shops - CHEAP chinese, always friendly and never a bad meal in an almost weekly visit! Plus they deliver when it rains and I'm lazy :O

Steak? Mine at home, sadly I haven't had a better one in Canberra :P Was pleasantly surprised by Jacksons near Circular Quay when in Sydney a while back though... $14 inc a schooner of Squires and the steak was very tasty.

Shop? Not really my thing, probably Aldi or Bunnings :S

Car? Visit BP every few weeks, Waves Car Wash in Gungahlin is a good enough reason to drive up there every month or so... haven't been to one in Mitchell, might have to check it out as I didn't know there was one there...

Drive? GDE is nice and smooth with my suspension ;) Roads out Mt Stromlo or Uriarra way are nice on occasion...

Mooseheads sucks... Unless you like waiting 20 minutes to order a drink, being surrounded by teenie sl_ts, getting in a fight with a bunch of 18 - 19 year old wankers who have something to prove, then getting home and having to wash the soles of your shoes because you made the mistake of wading through the inch deep lake of urin in the mens toilets.

LOL ok I shall leave you boys to your randomness >_<

The pancake parlour is so wrong. I was with someone who ordered a steak that came out with a pancake as well (guessing you'd prolly call it a crepe) but savoury or not that's just weird!!!

Food- Thai Amarin, Erindale

Movies- Hoyts Woden* Tuesdays only :D

Chillout- Mount Jerra* Can't go there anymore >_<

Drive- Back Track, Sutton Rd

Best Food Van- Agree with kat, GSpot* i can never find it though

and also agree with gus about pancake parlour

GSpot= Bacon & egg roll with 1-2 mates

The Parlour= 1am Hunger hangout with a group

Both just as good as each other

    • They're notoriously difficult if you traverse forums... the 102TB and FAST102 are so bad that most people actively don't buy it unless they REALLY want that extra 1hp. The idle stuff isn't really that hard. The cam is pretty manageable and while it acts like a larger cam the whole car actually drives smoother than before. I like to just tinker so if I can get 50rpm less variance or rule out situations where it does 'unexpected' things it's fun for me. HOWEVER If you just let a tuner give it a guess for a couple of hours and had no way/desire to test and tweak it yourself you'd spend a lot of money at the tuner or be pretty frustrated, that's for sure. But yeah. Drives great. (then I drive partner's Civic Type R and I think.. well, more tweaking to do) But for what it is (cam, TB, intake, manual etc) it does commute around really great once you figure out how the idle tables and GM's systems intend to work.
    • I usually source pressure on inlet manifold after throttle body
    • Where is the best location for boost pressure source when running mac 3port boost solenoid?  my new turbo does not have a fitting for that on the compressor housing.  how come Garrett make a turbo without that?  im confused
    • From my memory, which isn't that great, we did have issues getting the large throttle body on my old LS1 to play nicely at idle, first it would stall, then it would only idle at 2k rpm, then it would hang at 2k rpm for a few seconds and then drop and stall, then, finally, the best we got was it would hang at 1.5k rpm for a few seconds then drop to around 800 rpm The tuner stated that large cable throttle bodies are a PITA, and if I wanted anything better than what we ended up with I would need a electronic throttle body and all of the aftermarket ECU stuff to run it
