Well the cruise was very well organised and it finally got me to register with this forum... (been a bit of a sneaky reader for a few months now). Must of been an awesome sight for passer-bys to see all the V35s heading down the freeway.

It was also good to find out that I don't have the leaf! (eco leaf thingy) :)

Thanks for the kudos on the clear indicators... (which person were u manda23?? lol) :)

For those interested, the part number on the box is B61F0-CM40A (bulge) vs B61F0-AM900 (non-bulge). Maybe ppl can give this to Nissan AU and see how much they go for.

See exisiting Clear indicator thread for box photo.

my husband and i and the baby with the silver v35 parked at the end.

Thanks for the indicator links il really like the look of them.

Allan & Peter,

Thanks for organising a a great afternoon it was much appreciated. Look forward to catching up with all the V35 & Z guys again some time. Sorry couldn't make the cruise.

Cheers

Thank you guys for organising a great day, it was nice to meet you all and i hope we can organise another cruise at some point.

I really appreciated the effort and work put into yesterday and would like to thank everyone and in particular Alan and Peter.

Regards Yianni

For the very first Aus V35 skyline meet- it turned out pretty dam well. I guess it will only get bigger.

A good day out- thank god, the weather held out. Needed suncreen rather than a raincoat. (Sorry Geoff forgot to grab the sunscreen, too many distractions)

Thanks for all those who made an effort to introduce yourself to one another.

Nice to meet everyone and put some names to faces.

Around 25 cars in total. Plus Manda at late, sorry didnt get to chat- but as the alpha male (some would differ :P) I used up my 4000 words a day. I was zonked.

Everyone was well behaved, polite and considerate.

Thanks to:

V35 Driver Mark - for the magazine freebies and show bags.

The Zoom/Hot's photographer (look forward to that)

Scathing for hitting up the Z guys.

Tokyo Geoff for the pics and video.

Of coarse thanks to EVERYONE who showed up.

That was our first meet at Bodyform, and they way it all went in a private carpark- then we most likely will do it again. Perhaps a round or 2 of Texas Holdem Poker.

Someone though has my Hyper REV Skyline V35 magazine edition 89 I think! Can I have that back please!!

I almost wet myself when the cop showed up, especially since I was planning on leaving at that point and I didn't need to be pulled over for a "random" inspection.

It was a good day, and a shame I missed the cruise afterwards.

as Chopper would say " HARDEN THE F*** UP"

BTW Scathing - Alan said he would invite the V35's to the next Z meet.

It'll probably be in the new year. I've posted on the forums to see if people have any suggestions, and when something is sorted I'll post it in here.

Hey Guys, I'm new here and have had my V35 for about 3 weeks now. i was going to join the cruise but the rta stuffed me around and i didn't get my car registered in time. So now it is all registered and can't wait for the next cruise so my hubby and i can join. We were so tempted just to take my car out that day but it wasn't worth risking ;)

lol I'll bring my weekend fun car (late model Toyota Soarer) next time so people won't feel bad attending without a V35/V36/350z ;)

Good news!

As a long time subscriber to both, I look forward to some pics and the new title name.

Oops that reminds me I need to re-subscribe to HPI!

My thoughts are I wish I was there, maybe next time with my own...

    • Just trying to get my head around this. At 5psi of boost, you turn on your wmi pump, and then you're using a 3000cc injector, to allow flow upto the actual engine, where you have your 6x200cc injectors and a 500cc injector. If the above is correct, what advantage are you obtaining by having the 3000cc injector blocking flow, is this just incase a line breaks between that injector and the motor you can stop flow immediately? Or are the 6x200cc and 500cc less injectors and just spray nozzle?
    • Welcome! New member myself, but I had an R33 back in 2002. Best advice I could give, based on my experience: if you're running the factory turbo, be very conservative with boost. I made the mistake of just fiddling around with the boost controller and cranking the boost for fun, and the end result was my intake pipes popping off frequently from the constant deluge of oil that was being blown into the recirc by the stressed-out turbo, which itself was siphoning oil from the engine and farting it out both sides of its centre bearing (or something to that effect). If I could do it all again, I would have gotten a new turbo and had a tune dialled in professionally and then just left it alone! Funny you mention the metal shavings in the gearbox, as I had the same thing - the probe plug (magnetic drain plug, essentially) would come out caked with shavings. At least it was doing its job. Not sure if that's just sacrificial wear and part of the deal, or if my gearbox was shagged, but I wasn't abusing it. Enjoy the R33 - they're a dying breed, and if they weren't $35k+ on CarSales in Queensland, I might have picked up one of those again, instead of the 370GT I own now (though I'm loving the 370GT, that big 3.7L V6 just hits different).
    • Howdy folks. I owned an R33 back in 2002, which was thoroughly beyond my capacity (financially speaking) to maintain/insure, so we parted ways in 2004. Fast forward 21 years (to literally yesterday, in fact) and I'm now the proud owner of a 2007 V36 370GT. I'm happily surprised by how much power the VQ37VHR makes, compared to the RB25DET, considering the latter is turbocharged. I had planned to add a turbo at some point but I'm on the fence about whether I'll even need it (though I do love the sudden onset of extra torque). Any other 370GT owners around the traps, I'd love to hear about your experiences with this car (good and bad).
    • Perhaps the answer is... more jacks!* *proper jacks must be used.
    • I NEVER think about using a scissor jack unless there is absolutely no other alternative. f**king things are dangerous, annoying and stupid.
