Still for sale.

Just curious.. I have been trying to follow this thread a bit. I have a R-34 GT-R Vspec on the boat heading out to me from Japan to USA... These are the rim's i want. Is this offset too much to use without Spacers?? I'd rather get a set of rims that does not need spacers.. if they do need them what offset would i need that wouldnt touch... a +15?

Hey Mark,

Yes, because they don't quite fit over my front calipers on an R33 GT-R, they won't clear yours either, unfortunately, without spacers. I have bought some slip-on spacers that I can give you if you bought these wheels, which allow the rim to still sit on the spigot (hub) and not on the bolts alone. Like you though, I preferred not to put spacers on the car.

I do know someone who has an R34 GT-R and, like me, he got a bit screwed by the person he bought the rims from, and was given the wrong disk type. He runs spacers on the car though and hasn't had a problem so far. He has 19" versions of the same Volk GT-Cs.

So check out the Rays Engineering website, which lists the three different disk types. +12 should actually be okay for an 18x10" rim on a GT-R, it's just the disk type which means the inside of the spokes interferes with the calipers. Otherwise they would be fine, so I'm told; they wouldn't require guard-rolling nor would they scrub on full lock.

Cheers,

Matt

would these fit onto a r33 gts-t they look like such a nice rim. shame they wont go on yours mate.
They'll easily fit if you run stretched tyres, roll all guards and a slight flare on the rear, 2.5 deg neg camber on front.

These would look tough as f**k on a R33 GTS-t

Thanks guys. Yeah AFAIK there are ways of making these fit on a GTS-t but as Hypnotik said it would take a bit of modification.

Cheers

Matt

    • Hey all. I'm up to doing my oil and water feed lines. Has anyone done a tutorial on this on a 25det Neo? ( I know i should be asking for a tutorial on how to use the search instead, but I couldn't find anything specific) I'm running a Pulsar 3584 on a 6 boost manifold. I could use some advice on what fittings, sizes and where to run the lines. Thanks for any help.
    • Hi, I have someone interested, if it falls through I'll let you know.  I have a brand new set of fronts that  I sourced from Bilstein UK, now revalved and complete with springs to go with the very lightly used rears, if you are interested in a full set. As Duncan has mentioned this is not my job, I sold my suspension business over 10 years ago, but I am here to help when I have the time.  To give you some idea of my schedule I was at SMSP for the State Championship for 4 days the weekend before last.  Then The Bend for 4 days last week and back at SMSP testing this week, a day visit to One Raceway, then the SMSP Day Night meeting the weekend after.  I was hoping to squeeze in a dyno day with Scott on my R32 this week, but that's not going to happen, that's the second time I have had to postpone. Apologies if my responses are slow.   Cheers Gary
    • Talking about tools, my trombone cleaner arrived, talk about weird speciality tools....
    • Ha ha ha, I read that he had it based on brownie points so knew it wasn't going to be sold   I also am only shit stirring on buying, while they'd all be great cars, I don't need more, I actually sold one a few weeks ago. And immediately bought more tools...
    • I thought you might have asked about the Honda, but as the boy just wrote off his Patrol, and was trying to find a cheap daily to get by with, I decided to give the Honda to him
