Stock R33 bottom end before I rebuilt it (not due to failure of bottom end, just crank keyway) managed 352RWKW for ages no probs and reved her up to 8500rpm. Serviced it every 5000k and then 3000k's though, oil and filter.

600HP at the crank is a well known limit for a stock bottom end.

Rods are good for 400rwkw plus.

Pistons are pretty good, but will only take so much detonation/poor tuning before they fail.

Crank will take a lot, cars running up to 1000hp.

Oil pump and drive is a big problem with 32 cranks especially.

Blocks are good for a lot, unless bored out excessively, 1991,1992 had issues with cracking. N1 block (24U) is the serious block for big power...

Thats a quick rundown, other guys will add what I have missed. There is also a s%#t load of info when you do a search too.

Cheers.

Did you try the search button?

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Po...+internals+rb26

There are plenty more threads where that came from too.

Please have a search around.

na i didnt even think about it, sorry guy and gals.

so with what i have read and researched 315kwatw is a safe power output for my `93` 32gtr?

the next stage of my car mods will be a engine rebuild but not for another 6-8 months (to raise funds), ive had garrett gt2860r turbos put on about 3 months ago and with them running at 40% ( about 10lb boost) the car still made 315kwatw, when they tuned it i told them i wanted it at a very safe level for standard internals but really when it comes down to it i have know idea whats on the inside, for all i know it could be chocka block full of jun parts.

and if anyone wants to know martin donnan tunes my car

cheers

Usage makes a huge difference my 32gtr let go on the track making 427 hp at the wheels on a stock bottom end

I suspect would still be kicking hard of it wasn't used on the track. No oil mods just a catch can and baffled rocker covers!

next on will have all the oil control mods under the sun. there is a huge thread on oil control mods for drift track on here just search

sydneykid started the thread I think.

we ran cats race car (r32 gtr engine with 100,000+ kms) at 340rwkw for 2 seasons in da before she killed it doing donuts :P

    • Plan on the day will be to park trackside. Depending on space availability we will try put a small shade tent and a few of the cars on top of the hill inside turn 3, this is an easy to get to parking area with views of Turn 2, Turn 3, Turn 4 and Turn 5 and limited other pieces of the view around the track. IMPORTANT NOTE! One consideration from previous years is from memory the trackside parking sells out before the admission tickets, for that reason I encourage anyone planning on coming to buy tickets for parking now via the official website; https://www.worldtimeattack.com/ The type of parking you are looking for is 2 Day Park & View (Access Around Venue) Vehicle Pass Only Please note this does not include admission to the event itself, remember to grab that also, and kids under 12 get in for free!

    • Good time for a carbon roof
    • Not in any way aroused by any of those, except maybe the big AMGs. And that would break my never a Euro, ever, rule.
