whether there is 30 cars or 100 cars the price per car stays the same, the people at willowbank are charging us $48 per car regardless of numbers and require a minimum of 30 cars for them to put it on, so even if club members do get a discount it will be paid for by the club, not subsidised by non members paying more

So then why not keep it to thirty cars... less cars = more runs...

Why would we want to pay willowbank more money if we dont need too???

Who needs warm down time... :ermm:

Going by Noels figures (4 cars per minute roughly) if we keep going and going on 30 cars (assuming no one has a spill) we will get about 16-20 runs each...

If your cars can handle 30 laps of QR a day what are you worried about???

Bring on 20 runs in a row

PS> I heard Josh is pregnant

Most people i have talked to only want half that amount of runs, plus it gives more people a chance to come out and meet other Skyline enthusiasts and have a run at the track in a friendly environment

20 runs in a row...getting significantly slower each time due to everything being heat soaked to hell...YAY ha ha

Woohah, way to change the direction of the thread. Stop being a knober or I’ll leave poo nuggets and my fetus on your crisp lawn Col-Baby

Not everyone will want 20 consecutive runs in a row, those who want to socialize and talk to other skyline owners will do so and those who want a few more runs will line back up while others are having a chat.

I see no issues?

As already mentioned it’s a set price of $48 from Willowbank.

In regards to members, it’s just like having a discount count card, holders of that loyalty program could receive a better offer then those who don’t hold that certain “loyalty card”. It’s irrelevant that it’s not an official event .

Excuses :)

Yeah no worries, I just dont wanta see 100 cars turn out... It would be nice to be able to get 10 or so runs down...

Plus even if you limit it to 30 there is alwas a 10-15% drop out at the last minute... So it makes sence to have a few extras...

So maybe 50 cars would be a reasonable number, yeah???

To address the cost issues for those who want to know.

Willowbank Raceway charges a particular rate to book the track for 2 hrs and then a fee rate/hr for any hour after that.

We have put a ceiling on the number of vehicles as to give everyone a fair go when it comes to go-fast time.

i.e fewer cars more runs/more cars less runs, I know which I prefer

As to the remarks of why cheaper for members- see Nismo_Boy above

We value our members and this event is a token of our appreciation those who have been with us on this awesome place/site to meet other Skyline owners. This is not to say that unpaid are not welcome cause you are  As non members you are most welcome and there are incentives to paying for membership-so come on you'all sign on up & come have some fun. :P

As to the mention of Bikes- If you are at all interested in bringing your bike thats ok with us.

To all the noobs out there,

Drags are not how you run against others, This day is about creating a personal best 1/4 time and seeing how much you can improve it.

To all who are coming- have a great day & remember as SAU we have a reputation of being well behaved. So lets have fun & leave all baggage at the gate

    • Did you pay with a credit card? I'd be putting a charge back through then finding a new sparky to sort it out.
    • If you mean the alarm immobiliser; theyre internal to the alarm itself which makes that difficult; I couldnt even see where he put it; its not in the same place as last time; but with all black wiring it might be very challenging to trace  I had someone turn the key for me as I know it only primes for a couple of seconds As my post above; I am getting no voltage to the pump at all; but I am testing continuity of the power line (SB) from the pump plug to the relay fine. As well as the negative from the pump plug to a 12V constant.    Yeah; he blammed the no start on a bad battery; said I needed to get a new battery and it'll start. Turns out the battery drained because the tail lights had been on for half the day during the install (the rubber cushion on the brake switch gave out while he was testing it as I have a picture of the car from that morning with the tail lights off..i've replaced that). The battery was turning over the engine just fine for a long time; but got low since lights were draining it so it was too low to test a start after he finished. I bought a new one on his advice...$250 wasted. My original battery charged up just fine and is healthy.    It was running perfectly fine when I messed up the old alarm (programmed out the remotes). He couldnt start it after removing the old alarm; my assumption is that when he unhooked it; he didnt bridge the circuit back when trying to start it. Its always been perfectly fine. The ECU swap and pump were 2 years ago. It's never missed a beat in that time.
    • This is a big issue for me without the diff. I just have zero drive from the passenger side when drivers side has no traction. Bec's parents place has a crazy steep driveway with odd camber and I have never been able to get up. My bro-in-law's 130i with an (unknown brand) LSD gets up fine as does their dad's Hiace. My car stays at the bottom. We have other odd camber roads around here as we're elevated a bit and if it's raining I can get totally stuck around some hairpins.
    • Yeah, I am super excited for this.
    • Was the car running before he touched the car?
