I new you had it in the bag sat but had to keep it to myself well done .... :P

ah ya bugger, thought you'd let me sweat it out a bit did you?! Couldn't believe how many nice customs there are in Adelaide now, so it was definitely a tight one me thinks. Andy Stevens from Hyperformance Cycles had some awesome rides there......I guessed one of them was worth around $150 grand (as much as an R35, lol)!!

I saw Martin (Hostile) from a distance & thought we'd eventually bump into each other but it didn't happen unfortunately. :P

again, thanks for all the great comments guys.

Congrads Sled awsome bike...

I love boostworks VL! awsome car!

its not a boostworx car anymore!!! its a Southern HiTech Dyno Tune car now :) :) :)

and here is a pic of the girl in the showgrounds after sunday, number 13 in the trophy cabinet :):P:yes:

and on the dyno:

I only saw it down at Boostworx about 2 months ago!!

Far as I know, Shaun was just too busy to fit the VL in before the show, so it was taken to John Keen.

John kicked it off his dyno when it was spitting oil out the exhaust. :(

1/2 a dyno run doesn't mean its a Southern HiTech car.

One and only post for the year........

This ones for the hater haters(you know exactly who you are)

GAY

p.s. Since when does a atmo R34 come under "Extreme Horsepower"??

BTW The VL was built at Boostworx.............. It will always be a Boostworx car!!

Have a nice christmas....

also had the chance to speak to you saturday and u seem like a top bloke..

Car isnt anyones bar mine.. ive put in all the hard yards lately and built it pretty much myself in the last year with changing things and getting

more work done..Shaun has helped me out alot over the years and thats why i have the stickers on there..

car needs abit of a change now so stickers will probably be coming off... nothing against shaun or boostworx..

john keen did tune the car before extreme cos shaun was to flat out..

very happy with the way john goes about things aswell..

Car made 499.5 rwkw on around 28-29psi so was very happy with that considering one ring might be gone..

thanks again for all comments and

well done pete much deserverd winner...

cheers

alex

    • Hopefully it ends up being something manageable, like a hone, rather than a full bore—it would be a huge relief if it’s not as bad as it looks. Hang in there; these setbacks are annoying, but it sounds like you’re handling it as smartly as possible.
    • At the end of the day, it’s all about understanding the odds and being comfortable with the potential cost, whether it’s horsepower on a build or chips on a roulette table. And I have to say, the Laine example made me laugh—some people really do embrace that carefree, “roll and see” attitude!
    • Thanks MBS206, i got that PDF but got abit overhelm with all the connections and tracing of wires. I wasn't expecting to plug the dash harness anywhere. i was just going to use my electronics jumper wires to plug into the right pins like ECU power, ecu ground, ignition trigger etc... I do have a few ratchet straps locking it down tight. Fire extinguisher ready and only a small amount of fuel at a time, enough to submerge the pump.
    • Thanks GTSBoy, i will do abit more digging. I am missing a blue relay near the ECU connector... so i will chase that up in the next few days as well
    • https://yariksteel.ru/manual/R33/Skyline_R33_elektroprovodka.pdf   Page 18 should be what you want for the Dash Cluster wiring. Though, you don't need the dash plugged in to get the motor running. What you want is power as how GTSBoy said. You need to power the ECU. Find in the above link the ECU pin outs (Verify them before just connecting them up from things written on the internet). Find anything needing power, give it power, find anything needing ground, give it ground. Then give the starter motor power through a big cable, and bridge the solenoid on the starter straight to power too.  ECU will be on, and when you give the starter power, it'll spin the starter motor, and it should start. I also hope you have a proper stand, and not just the engine sitting on some wood. You will want it bolted down properly.
