Seriously, it's getting scary. The only reason I remember these vehicles is that their hideousness is etched on my brain. In the last two days...

1) Circa 1989 automatic Galant, fake WRX bonnet scoop, otherwise stock.

2) Early 1990s Bluebird, automatic, drainpipe exhaust, awful bodykit, stock rims and ride height.

3) Toyota Soarer, silver, with more wings than KFC, some kind of bonnet scoop, and aftermarket 15" wheels. Thankfully I didn't get close enough to it to experience the full horror.

4) Hyundai Coupe with graphics, chrome Tempe Tyres specials, and shopping trolley rear wing. Didn't hear whether it was auto or manual, so I'll presume auto.

5) Mitsubishi Mirage, with a full Cyber bodykit (remember them anyone?) and twin exhausts, automatic naturally.

Do the owners seriously keep these cars in the shed over winter??? Or is this normal and I haven't been getting out enough??

the abundance of horrible CRX's getting around lately is shocking.... oh and some of the terrible number plates people have... one in particular, that orange wrx with CUNQRT.... more like see you at fulham maccas.... :D These people fail at life

one in particular, that orange wrx with CUNQRT.... more like see you at fulham maccas....

lol, pretty sure that dude lives around the corner from me. Shocking colour choice... it isnt even orange, its more like metallic rust!

lol, pretty sure that dude lives around the corner from me. Shocking colour choice... it isnt even orange, its more like metallic rust!

i see him near my mates all the time he lives like 4 or 5 houses down he used to have that shocking civic that was air brushed he is a dick keeps driving past in first gear all the time annoying the shit out off the neighbors.

:D

saw that hyundai coupe... couldnt stop laughing ... 1st thing i thought of was need for speed wannabe...

Also seen an abundance of Falcons with some GT/typhoon bodykit and GT stripes.. the money they spend on the kit they could of probally gotten themselves an xr6 which would look better then a riced falcon :D

whats even better is a completely stock civic or lancer driven by a family.. but with random rear rice lights.. wtf.

I'vee seen heaps of bog stock CEish Lancers with clear tails. You'd almost think they offered them as a dealer option :D

Chef, have seen taht Mirage going around. I hate those Cyber kits.

For all you Southerner's, there's a 96' Corolla going around down South with... every single performance brand sticker known to man kind on the car. From Blitz to Nismo! It's literally plastered all over the car. Looks shocking. Nothing decent on the car, either.

Also:

Yellow Hyundai Accent - plates: Aksent or something. Bright yellow, twin canons, body kit with bonnet scoop. Finally got defected the other day!

Countless Lancer's going around with Evo kits and Droid kits with twin exhausts.

I wont name this person, as he's a 'mate' but he has a 00' Lancer with... wait for it... his name as a badge on the rear! Yes! You know how you can get single letters in badge form to stick on your car from Autobahn? Well, he did this and put his name on the rear of his Lancer in badge form! It's a Silver Lancer with a custom body kit and twin pin-sized centre exhausts. If you see this car, take a look at the rear!! It's worth a laugh.

Also came across a huge fail at the BP Servo on Beach rd - P plater driving a Mazda 626 with a fake bonnet scoop and huge rear wing. He even asked if "I can drift the Skyline" and "if I could do a big burnout when I leave".

You don't see many CRX's doing the rounds anymore? Are they still selling much, Chef? I used to see them all the time a few years back with the twin Canon exhaust and huge kits! Now I don't see them anymore!

I also see plenty of 4 door R31's with massive Nismo stickers on the front window, or the Nissan Racing sticker with a rather large Canon coming out the back.

I had 2 count em 2 riced up mirages with 4 inch drain pipes driven by 2 guys with spikey hair and white rimmed sunnies (at night)

trying to start a tripple death race with me comming home from a nice weekend in southport (gold coast) no Sh&t they were like swapping sides with me and all - kind of like when 2 dolphins swim around a tour boat .......

i was laughing so hard when the g.f says ? do you know those faggots?!

i was laughing sooooooo fRigging hard :ninja:

man i just pressed the acceleratior down about 2 milimeters and was doing aboit 112 klms and they faded into the night embarresed by my pointing and laughing

I wonder what happend to the AVP CRX? Anyone remember that from Autosalon? Had the Alien vs Predator graphics airbrushed onto it, etc.

Apparently the car lived in Pt. Pirie or something! I remember he sold it on ns.com for like $10k after spending sooo much money on it.

The mirage count seem to be adding up, my Manager at work recently bought a riced Mirage, has all the usual stuff. Giant cannon, 18" Chrome, lowered, bodykits, Xeon headlights & It was PINK!!!

But it seem to do its job well, I was talking with a girl at work & she was saying how the manager found a bargain as the car is "only" $7k, she was surprised when I told her that Mirages aren't really worth more & my mum's stock 2002 Camry can probably sell for more.

The guy who lives across the road from me loves his stupid Mirage. Complete with 15" ROH rims, 'sports' exhaust and factory body kit. It even has a Osiris sticker on it (yeah, like the shoe brand!).

He washes it all the time. He said he'd rather own the Mirage than a GTR. When he said that, I think I vomited in my mouth.

    • sold listed as a Tomei LSD 1.5 Way For 1998+ Nissan Skyline ER34 25GT RB25DE w/Open R200 https://www.ebay.com/itm/174006114594?campid=5338967980&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&toolid=10050&customid=&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&loc_physical_ms=108689&loc_interest_ms=&campid=5338967980&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&toolid=10050&customid=71883f2ccc571356e0a757bc7adfdde2&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&loc_physical_ms=108689&loc_interest_ms= it went in like butter all gears, alignment, back lash etc, rotation and clearances correct, and if rolling all rotates smooth and free when coasting down road , clutch in or out over 10 mph smooth... its the binding, clunking and jerking from a stop that is most concerning, also seems like its going to tear the tires off in 10 miles of normal road driving.
    • What 1.5 way? There's no such thing really as a 1.5 way, just different ways of explaining 2 ways with different ramp rates. HOWEVER. In any driving in a straight line your 1.5 or 2 or 1.7 way should have no clunking at all. With the clutch fully depressed the diff should be silent (unless it's welded but I'm assuming it's not). Something aint right here.
    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
