Hey guys,

Just thought id write word of two about my new little toy, after selling my r33 this is the only car i actually liked - nothing made me smile more. The beauty of RS Clio.

Done couple of little mods to the car just to differ from the rest :P

So far the list is;

Braided brake lines

Ferodo DS2500 pads

Camber pins, -1.7 Left, -1.4 Right - Toe 0.5mm out Left, 0.5mm out Right (1.0mm total) so much more grip and sharper turn in!

Remus exhaust

Eibach springs

My all time favorite, Mille Miglia HT3 wheels with michellin pp2 rubber!

Samco sport air pipe

BMC CDA Carbon intake - sounds like a wounded animal hehe :(

Various sound system upgrades and very dark tint...

odyssey pc680 battery

Almost forgot, home made front splitter :)

And of course 30hp TOY number plate!

Im sure i missed the little things out but thats how far i got it for now, not finished yet!

It loves to be trashed, and toyed with!

its uh... cute...

haha, looks pretty decent dude, handle well does it?

Straight line speed is not this cars strong point, but to be honest it does keep up with most of the cars.

Handling wise, i already gave grief to couple of subby boys in the hills :P

errr shouldn't you be posting this on a Renault site? :(

Sorry, hate it. Unless you have a vag. But even my wife wouldn't drive a frog car (yes, I know they now own Nissan, but that's not an issue) :P

Why not post it here, im sure many members here dont have a skyline.. at least i had one :)

no offense meant mate .... was just pointing out that surely members of a frog-loving community would have much respect for such a car .... however opinion here may differ. Imagine the response one would get on for posting up about a new Skyline acquisition on a Renault club site - a fair lynching, I would imagine :P

Non taken! Believe it or not, were revving about new GT-R on our forums. Great car doesn't need a specific community to be appreciated thats my point, not talking about my car.

Oh crap, work in few hours!

I quite like it. Friend of a friend has a Clio (sporty one, whatever the model) and he raved about it, as did my friend who drove it. FWD still sucks ass for REALLY spirited driving (I know I own an SP23) but overall looks like a fun package.

Love it - and remember that Renault is owned by Nissan these days, or is it the other way around??

Anyway, if dovla can drive, this froggy girl's car would hand your arse to most Skyline drivers on here through Chain of Ponds :)

Confucius say, "it not how fast yoo go up mountain, but how good you rook getting there"

some little buzz boxes like ur clio can be HEAPS of fun... my bro in law had (till recently) a worked pug 205, i have never been in a car that u can throw at a corner as hard as that. awesome for motorkhana and hills driving.

however oversteer > understeer when u step on the loud pedal

    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
    • It is the stock air box with the panel filter. Everything else is stock except the exhaust at this point, as I also went back to the cleaned 270cc injectors. I will check the RPM when the IACV is unplugged and report back.
    • As MBS suggested if this is happening when the engine is cold you're going to want to remove the intake air regulator and verify resistance + that the shutter is physically opening and closing. At -20C should be fully open, 20C half open, over 60C fully closed. At 20C should be 70-80 ohms. For AAC valve testing using a Consult cable see if you can raise and lower the idle by commanding more or less AAC duty cycle. Hopefully it's pretty linear as well, shouldn't be like 30% AAC valve is barely idling and 40% is 1500 rpm.
    • Bloody apprentices! 🙄
    • Not sure yet.  Was considering speedtek because it was rated to 800hp, but when I did some research about him I don't think I will go for that🤣 So maybe giken gear set, but I'm afraid it won't be strong enough🙄
