hahaha! You can still have fun without a license lol!

yer that's my car. mmm... it's ok for what it is, only running 13 psi at the stage till i work out that funny thing called traction

Only ran a 13.05 @ 108 mph.

A little dissapointing as a really wanted a 12 and i know the car is good for it... but i learnt a few things so me going back to fiddle, that should help throw it into a mid 12 before the end of the year :)

and SLYWPN... R34's have Rb25's :(

but mine is an R33 Series II RB25.

i reckon it's a shit pic though.

Oh.. yer i aint changed it...

1) i'm too lazy.

2) i'm not going to go round saying what i've got lol! Bit of stealth

but it's over 200rwkw. And that's with the Factory T04e :(

The turbo is sort just hanging on for the ride at the moment. Give it 15-17psi and it'll produce some decent results.

I need bigger injectors before that can happen though.

But that will probably be next year as i wanna do a few other things first, Brakes/wheels/motor re-build

what do you want the motor rebuilt for? RB25 should be good for 250rwkw stock with no problems.

I just got bigger injectors and a like new R34 turbo that hopefully should produce the goods on the BMT dyno on thursday/friday.

I'm hoping for at least 185 or so.

2 reasons...

1) i'm already close to the engine limit now. I'm not there but i'll be there with more boost very easily.

2) The opportunity has come about, so i'm gonna take it.

A mate was kind enough to offer a hand to do it so it's only parts that'll cost me aint it wont kill my rear pocket now :(

But i will be going further than 250rwkw, so getting it stonger wont hurt while i have the chance.

well at the end of the day... how do you know where the motor has come from?

it might have had the ass thrashed out of it! who knows.

with a rebuilt motor, stonger internals, i KNOW where it's come from and what life the engine has had after the rebuild.

why bother taking an RB26DETT of dubious origin for $5k+ .. when you can take an RB30DE for less than $500 and for another $5k more have it done exactly the way you like it and actually stronger than an RB26DETT anyway...then you strap that single T78 on it and hold the hell on..

RB26DETT in 2WD configuration is just a bit overdone and for little benefits..

Anyway,guess what i've been reading. :P

    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
