you really shouldnt be offering 45 for a car like this. If i were you i wouldnt sell lower than 50k

you can buy an import r34 gtr for 45k or less and i can assure you it will be a pig.

i say let them buy a pig. Dont budge. Your car looks the goods

Your right, however your forgetting we are in a fast declining economy. That affects everyone and the price of normally appreciating assets like houses, let alone depreciating assets like cars.

The trouble is finding any buyers in this sort of market. The result is more supply than demand which creates competition amongst sellers driving the price down. Unfortunately, I know this first hand.

Its a double edged sword... you either sell now and wait for a buyer or hold out to the economy recovers which is minimum 18 months away but when this happens the aus dollar will also likely recover against the yen meaning r34gtr's will be the bargain of the century. That said when that does occur it will likely slightly drive the price up of r34 gtrs in japan as they have dropped significantly with the reduced demand. Although they are never going to even be what they were 12 months ago given they're getting older. They obviously feel the laws of supply, demand and depreciation as well.

Your a real wanker mate

Dont u know the YEN has dropped to nearly HALF what it was

HENCE a car selling in Japan at $40000 is now worth about $76000

If you were gonna sell if for that price Moey u defeintaly gone crazy!!

Guys dont u all know how badly the YEN is at the moment so the price of GTRs should hold or go up in price

Moey its a good car have seen it before so be firm on a good price dont waste u time with shit talkers!!!

Good luck mate!

mate, where is the harm in making an offer. if you dont like it you simply say NO.

My loss is someones gain , im itching for a r35 soon as i sell this one .

well if you sell and you're serious about buying an R35 GTR send me a message. I am selling mine. brand new, less than 100delivery kms. still wrapped in plastic, fully complied with nsw rego.

went and saw this with a mate yesterday. never thought ide like a white GTR till i saw this one. i cant believe this hasnt sold yet as it is undoubtedly one of the nicest examples of a white r34 gtr. if i can sell my car soon, this baby will be in my garage :D

Have to totally agree with you. Its almost a waste of time advertising a car on these forums. The number of serious people on these forums with money to buy a car like this are very minimal. All of the "ill have the money in 2 months", "if its still available in March consider it sold", "any pics" they are all a bunch of time wasters. I can name 100 which are sitting in my PM box. A serious buyer would get his number and call him direct.

Everyone's having a cry about the prices but everyone knows that say...

R32 GTR-trashed and high km 15k, good condition=20k

R33 GTR-trashed or stock with somewhat high km's=20k, good condition etc vspec=25,28+

R34 GTR- trashed high km's=40k, good condition at least 50k.

If you really need the car sold as u say, go to car sales, set the price to 48k, and negotiations wont go below 45.

P.S: sexy car, what possessed you to buy 2 !

    • So.....wire it up appropriately. You can't use the resister pack with those injectors anyway.
    • that’s the thing i’m on ID1050s and haltech not getting power due to the injector resistor
    • ahh okay cheers, i was thinking of just going for the m073, think m079 would be way too overkill considering they are same size.
    • My first car was a HG. I'm very familiar with them. A mild cam upgrade is a good idea. The 186 is a very flexible engine - meaning it has good torque from down low. You can give up a little torque down low for quite a lot more excitement in the mid range, and a bit more up top - but they are not exactly a rev monster. You need to upgrade valve springs at the minimum. For a bigger cam, you'd want to make sure it wasn't still running the original fibre cam gear. That would be unlikely, given that most of them shat themselves in the 70s and 80s, but still within the realms of possibility. Metal cam gear required. Carbies are a huge issue. The classic upgrade was always a Holley 350, which works, but is usually pretty bad for fuel consumption. The 186S had a 2 barrel Stromberg on it that was very similar to the one on the 253, and is a reasonable thing if you can find one, and find someone to help you get it set up (which is the same issue with setting up a 350 to work nice). The more classic upgrade was twin sidedraught CD type carbs, or triples of same, or triple Webers. The XU-1 triple Webers being the best example. You can still buy all this stuff new, I think, but it's a lot of coin to drop. And then the people able to set them up are getting fewer and further in between. There's still some, but it used to be everyone's** dad and uncle could do it. **Not everyone's! But a lot. All in all, I wouldn't get too carried away with the engine. Anything you do to it without a full rebuild for power and revs will only make it slightly faster. I am all in favour of a complete teardown rebuild, with nice rods and pistons, 10 or 10.5:1 compression, and a clean port job with at least a big enough cam to run 98 with that compression, if not bigger. And if I did that to a dirty old red motor, I'd want to inject it too, which I'd struggle to fight against the devil on my shoulder that would argue for ITBs and trumpets. But the bills would start to mount up, and it will still never make stupid power. OK, a few people still know how to build absolutely mental red motors, courtesy of the work that went into HQ racing and modern knowledge being applied. But even a 300HP red motor is no match for an RB20 with a TD06. So you have to decide what it's worth to you. I'd just put a set of 6>2>1 extractors, a 2.5" exhaust and an electronic ignition conversion/dizzy on it and just run the old girl like the fairly slow old girl that she really is.
