Yeah, all u interstate people forget us Victorians can get fined for 63 in a 60 zone or even 103 in a 100 zone.

Just stay at the speed limit. Easy.

Yeah, it seems almost illegal because by law, when made your speedo only has to be accurate within 10%. ie 66 at 60kms is ok, or 110 at 100kms.

So you can be breaking the law straight after driving a new car out of a showroom, thinking u are doing 100km

that is if the adminstrator/moderator will cooperate with the cops. and even if the coppas got your IP address they then have to go through and ask for your info from your ISP. Your ISP will NOT give out your personal details as it will be against the privacy act and what if your ISP go through a proxy server? even harder to trace you! lol . I doubt they go through all the hassles just to bust someone here with a RD when there are more serious crimes happening across australia lol.

Just an interesting note on this subject. All (internet) traffic is monitored by a "big brother". i know they wouldnt bother with something as small as this but just a word of warning for anybody with illegal intents.

its all you victorians fault for voting in brax ... is he labour or liberal?? i thought he was labour?? and i thought labour were meant to help the average working aussie?? now its all for themselves ... i'm interested to know how much revenue per car there is in each state ...

Your ISP will only release personal details for a court order. I asked them once for details about what webpages I had been surfing and they refused. BTW, I was looking at skylines and I found a nice one. But my PC crashed and I didn't have the page in history... I never found the car again (but I did get a better one anyway :D)

I can't recall any significant difference in either party as to who they "look out for". I remember Paul Keating wanting to introduce a GST (bad for low income earners) and it was John Howard that introduced the Medicare surcharge for people on over $50k (bad for high income earners). Howard also introduced the law which stops self-employed people earning more than 85% of their wage from one source. If they do then they lose a shitload of tax benefits.

State governments are no different. Has anyone seen what Bob Carr (Labor) wants to do to the public transport system in NSW?

Basically if you vote, you vote for the lesser of 2 arseholes. Or you can do what I've done in the past and just write "They all ****en suck" on the ballot paper.

Bob Carr is a joke. I like his policy - "if they can;t do one job, keep swapping them around" frigging michael costa should be killed, useless prick. Public transport is a joke, the roads are a joke, the Government is a joke, cops are a joke.....

Road Angel is nothing but a blackspot detector from my understanding.

SydneyKid: Thanks very much for the tip. I'll definately try using that one and let you know how I go. I've -NEVER- seen a Queensland cop use a tripod.

Road Angel uses GPS to identify Blackspots & fixed speed cameras. Basically a central database holds the GPS data for a blackspot and fixed camera and when U get close it sends a signal to the unit in ur car which alarms the driver. Also you can record a spot from the unit in ur car.....for example if u r driving passed a car mounted camera and u know u r going passed that spot again record the position on the unit and when u get close again it will warn u.....

I don't think he's an arsehole, just dumb as shit. No, actually I take it back... Maybe he is an arsehole...

I don't want him to get voted in again, but lets face it, for him to get voted out, Doyle has to be voted in... And that's not going to happen in a hurry.

    • The incentives are mostly the same, yes. Ethanol is cheap compared to the cost of doing 98-100 RON with crude oil alone. 87 to 93-94 AKI all with E10. In 2020 Canada mandated E10 as a part of their "renewable fuel standard" and is supposedly going to go to E15 in 2030. In California where there are only 8 refineries with two threatening to shut down next year it's been over 20 years now of E10 and 91 AKI maximum because there's just not enough refinery capacity or crude oil supply relative to the demand for premium unleaded fuel. And CARB's low carbon fuel standard means functionally none of the diesel available at the pump is made from crude oil anymore. It's almost all entirely 20% biodiesel blended with 80% renewable diesel (hydrotreated vegetable oil) now. The number of gasoline vehicles that support E15 or higher ethanol concentrations is surprisingly low, I can't imagine it being wise to play tricks like this without flex fuel sensors in most of the fleet.

    • South Australia, which is hardly as far behind as the rest pf Oz makes out, and who is also not a paragon of progressiveness (read that as over-legislation) in the area of vehicle standards, has this to say on the subject: Adjustable coil-over suspension Aftermarket adjustable coil-over suspension components are suspension units that incorporate an external thread on the main body and corresponding threaded spring saddle that allows the vehicle's suspension height to be varied. If fitting aftermarket or coil-over suspension components you must submit an Application to modify a light motor vehicle form and a report from a light vehicle engineering signatory (LVES).
    • Hi all, Long time since I've posted here. Looking for some advice on what I can remove to further identify the cause of my issues.  I can move the passenger seat forward and back but the knob used to adjust the seat angle is pretty much free spinning, there's very little resistance.  Removing the side cover I can see that the chain is intact but the shaft for the adjustment spins without the gear attached to it moving.  What's my next step for disassembly here? Is this a common fault? Just being a little cautious as I didn't want to start removing bolts for a spring to fly out or something equally as stupid.  Cheers
