I have a friend who has a cefiro with rb25de. He found cheap 555cc injectors on e-bay and was wondering what performance gains will it have with a stock rb25de with a tunable ecu. I was thinking performance will be low though but i would like other people's opinion. I do know 555ccc on rb25det with stock turbo is pretty pointless but i don't know how a NA engine would react.

Injectors should only really need upgrading if:

They are creating a restriction (not enough fuel getting into the engine because of injector size) and therefore risking running to lean, or not being able to get as much out of an engine;

Performance upgrades substantially increasing air flow and therefore requiring more fuel that the stock injectors can't flow, which generally results in the above anyway.

And if you do "need" bigger injectors for that reason, then you will probably also need a bigger fuel pump, and then of course you'll need a piggy back ECU to remap the A/F Ratios (that can easily add up VERY quickly).

Basically, unless he's planning on doing some big things with that engine (ie. Turbocharging, or bigger cams and extensive N/A modding, or NOS) then save the $$$ for something else until such time as there is a NEED for bigger injectors.
