R33 Boost Gauge Install

hey there,

just need some advice as i am planning on turning the boost up in my car a little

i have got myself a mechanical boost gauge and i was wondering, where in the firewall do i put the vacuum line through, i cant seem to find somewhere obvious to put it through...

sorry for the noob question

Any info would be greatly appreciated

where are you going to mount the guage? in the dash or pillar pod etc? if in the dash where bouts?

you should be able to find a grommet with wires going thru it in a fair few place.. by mechanical do you mean it needs a boost vac hose to the guage? because im not sure but i think the standard guage runs off a hose? correct me if im wrong people!!

stock guage is electical

there are areas on each side of teh engine bay for wiring, but you can always drill a hole and put in a grommet.

Drivers side of the engine bay to the left if your looking at the brake master cylinder, there is a vacuum hose going to the factory boost sensor & from there wires run through a rubber grommet through the fire wall and come out somewhere above the accelerator pedal.

i just drilled a hole next to my accelerator cable hole in the firewall. was a bit of a squeeze but it worked. i mounted mine in the air vent in between the door and steering wheel.

I slid mine next to one of the a/c line grommets on the passenger side along with all the power fc boost controller wiring.
