Help Needed By Someone Not Terrified Of Spiders

Recommended Posts

I remember going on the first date with my current girlfriend, a huntsman walked across the inside of the windscreen. I shat myself, but put on a brave face, calmly pointed it out and then killed it for her (it was in her car).

Now that she knows who I really am she can kill her own damn spiders.

Close your eyes and eat it, good protien and it's what your body would do as a reflex if you were asleep.

So why not?

Also It has been said they taste like Thai chicken.

A insecticide like "Baygon" External is useful, you'll need to spray all along your external windows and door jam, all around, not just the bottom. and create a barrier. Good for every 3-6 months. As summer is approaching, all these insects, they get active again, looking for food, that's why they're all coming out. I would squeeze any little spiders I found but those big ones are so disgusting I would use an insect spray and won't bother to risk getting it all splatered over, and wait till they're through their agonising death and vacuum it or sweep it away with a broom.spraying your tyres with external barrier insect spray might be a good idea. after all they will need to climb through something, tyres...

Worst I ever had was an evil looking black one out the back, near the door. Didn't want the dogs to get bitten, so I crushed it.

Ever seen those movies, where they kill something, and it 'dissolves' into a million other little somethings?

Exactly what happened. I would almost swear that there were more little spiders than the big spider had bodyweight originally.

As soon as I stomped it, it literally looked like it melted into a million little evil looking spiders, and it wasn't until after we took care of them (with spray, of course :bunny:), that I found the original dead one.

Scared the absolute crap out of me.

well i cant help you any more only suggestion is to get a b/f and looking at this thread no one from here as most of us are probably bigger girls than you are when it comes to spiders :bunny:

it was a mumy spider

Heh, I had a pet trapdoor spider as a kid, used to pop flies/bugs/etc into the aquarium with it and it was the coolest how it popped open it's little trap door to grab them and eat them. Had a huntsman and a brown snake too but my sister dobbed me in and I had to let them go :bunny:

Mummy Spider - it carries hundreds of its babies, all poisonous ones, on her back for about 40 days...

Here's an article with photos that will guarantee tingle your spine...

yuk, thats evil.

But that shape is more what my spider looked like than the old huntsman.... D Day is tomorrow, still dont know If Im going to drive it, yet am very reluctant to return the car to the offending garage where the whole crisis begun!

Seriously who owns a spider as a pet? Weird...do they come when you call....lol

lol... do they come when you call....

i dont think so. but it would be cool of you could whistle and it would run up to you like a dog and jump up and bring down the flies

that would be teh shizz

as well as mini velociraptors. that would be so fkn cool

    • Yeah i found that alot of parts can be wrong or "very" hard to get the real right one. I already bought some brakes years ago on me "old" GT calipers and they were wrong too 😄  I told them too. Even send them pictures...but they said "EBC catalogue has them on my car... So i dont know what their answer will be. I call monday them and let them know that they are really not on my car. If they were they would be already on a car...
    • Welcome to Skyline ownership. Yes, it is entirely possible parts websites get things wrong. There's a whole world of inaccuracies out there when it comes to R34 stuff (and probably 33 and 32). Lots of things that are 'just bolt on, entirely interchangable' aren't. Even between S1 and S2 R34's. Yes they have a GTT item supposedly being 296mm. This is incorrect. I would call whoever you got them from and return them and let them know the GTT actually uses 310mm rotors. Depending on where you got them from your experience and success will obviously vary.
    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
