R34 GT-T at Tooronga Station, Malvern

Recommended Posts

To whichever lucky sod owns the Grey/Silver R34 ( complete with SAU stickers ) which parks at Tooronga Station, a word of warning:

I often see your car at the station in the arvos when I get off the train. Last night some dodgy character was scoping it out.

He looked in the windows and watched it from a distance so I watched him from a distance. He soon noticed me looking at him and he bailed.

I dunno if he planned to break in but I thought I'd mention it.

Cheers,

E

Hes playing with fire leaving it parked at a train station all day everyday!!

I gotta agree there mate. Its always parked in the same spot. Not in the Station carpark but outside it on the street. Very conspicuous. Well, I always notice it.

i remember reading once that a large % of car theft and breakins are from train stations... Bit silly to park any car there, never mind a nice 34

you're best off buying an unregistered crapper for $200 and driving to the station every day i think..

it will be hard to steal a car even if it is parked outside a train station in broad daylight. I dont know..

u recon?? after the morning rush at the train station, there is no 1 there very easy for a thief to steel a car in the middle of the day!

ahhhh...funny. It can take a thief less than a couple of minutes to disable even the fanciest alarm system. And how many people at a station really pay any attention to what is going on in the carpark?

you may as well just leave it parked at a shopping centre each day as well... with a big STEAL ME on the window..

but surely there wil be ppl walking around, cars zooming by.. ppl frm their houses looking out .

actually, i don't u'd need to, as another large % of cars stolen are stolen from shopping centres..

Anyway, my point is if you leave your skyline at a shopping centre for long periods of time or train station BAD BAD BAD BAD

Ok firstly, the 34 is never in the carpark, its always on the street outside the carpark. ( easy getaway )

Secondly, how many times have you heard an alarm go off and taken notice? Actually, how many times have you heard an alarm?

Most alarms go off and nobody ever flinches unless the alarm keeps them awake.

Guys, now i am worried.

I park in on the road rather than the in the station so cars coming pass can see it and anyone trying to break in.

I guess I will have to collect my car now and drive into work... damn petrol and parking costs.

    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
