Sun Damaged Bonnet

Hey all, my 33's bonnet has some pretty intense sun damage which has caused the clear coat to dry up and peel/crack all over it. Am I going to need to get a complete respray of the bonnet or is there a way I can remove the coat and just spray on a new clear myself? I'm at work right now so I can get pics up later this afternoon if need be.

for a proper job that wont peel again your gonna have to knock it all back and respray the whole thing. do it properly the first time i say.

once the clear coat is gone , you have to respray it.

knowing spraypainters it will cost a LOT more than finding a 2nd hand bonnet in good condition. R33's are not rare so you should be able to find a 2nd hand bonnet in your color and good condition if you look around

That's a good idea actually. I might head into Jap Parts Plus next time I'm in Perth. They seem to have heaps of spare 33 parts.

yer to paint it properly they would need to sand it all back, probably prime it so the paint already there doesnt play up when applying the new paint and then you would have to blend the guards so the colour is right
