paul's serious about the shiny bit btw - jimih got yellowed coz his chrome cup could 'blind him' - even though he can't even see it

for the best anyway :D

pillar guages are fine as long as they're against the pillar and not hindering vision / line of sight etc

The second guage could be argued to be a hazard during an accident - the distance to headspace argument. I don't think the cops would ping you, but the pits may do. Anyone had experience on this?

btw - heaps of people have the single pod (me included) and have had no problems.

they will yellow ya for anything...

granted it was a ford but i got sticked in my old car for dirty front headlights and a seatbelt that didnt retract properly...

i didnt do anything to the car and drove straight to mandurah desiel (local sticka remover) and got it over the pits straight away.

lots of the time it will because they didnt get a read out when you were speeding or something like that....

just watch your lead foot boys...

You break road rules, car looks bit sporty, and give a little cheak when cop pulls you up.....you get a sticker for your troubles. When I say give a little cheak, you might just look at him/her the wrong way.

You'll never stop cops from handing them out, It's bullshit. And regardless of whether or not your mods are legal. Passing the pits still hits you in the hip pocket.

It's not that bad. If you get done and it's not warranted then you don't have to pay and the officer can get a minor reprimand if you follow it up.

Not that my car would pass - but if you get one and you have to spend the $$ to get it over the pits then the cop was just doing his job right? It's a risk we all take and shouldn't unless we're prepared for the consequences.

Sorry - just heard the "poor me - it's not fair" argument too many times..

i agreee with Cam.. also on that note i think most of you are blowing everything out of proportion.. How often do u honestly get a yellow? I hear lots of boohoo stories from various differant people but not same person every 2nd week crying about it.

I copped several yellows on my ute, but they were always due to me being somewhere where i should(street drags) or doing something stupid(speeding/burnout).. So end of day it was my own fault.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
