so based upon the HOON laws the older(35-40) lady with a kid in a car seat ,driving a beat up but newer ford wagon , trying to get me to drag race her at the lights tonight in Seaford would be a Hoon ? she burned rubber and sped off not me.. I didnt bite to race her ? I bet if a cop saw her I would be the one getting done not her ? and she endangered a child ?

I didn't get published , guess I over whelmed the intern finding stories for the news.

channel 9 , big fail, with a yellow no wing R34 power sliding thru a parking lot in the story ? most of the footage had out of state rego's ?

and the comments directed towards skylines in the comments page on the link, once again targeted by someone ?

WHAT A CROCK OF SHIT

biggest load of shit ever , "victims of crime fund"

oh and out of all them cars impounded etc , how many were skylines ?

im dying to know.

Hey f**k knuckle, ever been home invaded? Do you know what that does to your life and hence employment and therefore money flow?

Victims of crime is there to help, and it goes to people who can >PROVE< that they've had issues due to being a victim. And so you're pissed off about that? The crock of shit is your ignorant base opinion. Pull your f**king head in.

go f**k yourself .

im out of hear

man, I must have missed something, ????????

blow each other a kiss and stop auguring?. the skyline crew needs unity :D not to fight until the whole club falls apart. then the cops would have a field day ? and we would be in for a ;)

this is free speech last time I checked ?, crime funds are good when used properly. not funded by car seizures ?(unless of course the car is used in crimes of drugs, robbery, or "REAL" crimes) not used for people scamming the system for money?

^^^ or do you

Only kidding or am I :D

I like that stuff.

AKA.

Do people REALLY see more hoons on the street ? I dont. I dont see skylines flying up the road like the cops have made it out to be.

Sure I see a couple cars here and there. But I dont see the prob to be any bigger than a few years ago.

what a load of shit. Just something else for them to talk about.

Ask yourself

How often do you think cops would see people hooning ? 234523523 a day ? doubtfull.

over published crap IMO.

go f**k yourself .

im out of hear

...

...Sigh.

:D

and for the record i have been a victim of crime several times , and this so called fund hasnt done shit to help , till i see it working i couldnt give a flying f**k.

GG to this community.

epitome of maturity

ROFL! ahh that was a good laugh.

for the record VOC funding helps many families caught out and effected by sittuations out of there hands

victims of crim can help yes i agree, oww and 86db, cant wait till i get my exhaust checked, gaurenteed to be over 120db, hmm might get a new zorst when i get defected, and NO i dont give 2 rats if i do cauz its my fault cant wait to wt my turbo she should spool nicely. plus id rather do a burnout on a proper burnout pad like we have at the dirt circuit track.

my hopless opinion.woot woot.

i just wrote a huge noval to this thread, then i relised i dont care anymore.

the more people whinge, the wrose its going to get.

im over trying to defend what we do (no, not the hoons) but the people who are init because they love cars not because they want to be cool.

ive bought a drift car now with a mate of mine. im sick of street cars.

+ 1

but it still dosent give anyone the right to be stupid on the street and put their lives, plus any passengers plus all the other road users out there at risk.

its not acceptable at all in my opinion.......thats where they (governement) need to get their heads out their arses and get places like AIR and LaLa updated so there can be weekly/fortnightly/monthly (or whatever) meets where people (especially the kids) can just go let off steam on the track and have all the appropriate people (eg. ambulance etc) there in case something goes wrong........its a lot safer than being a dick head on the street.

Exactly !!!!

Acted up on the roads and get caught its your own fault, no one else to blame but yourself!

Victims Of Crime is a great scheme, but yes it should not be funded by the sale of impounded vehicles. Surely you'd think they'd put the money into driver awareness campaigns. But i do see the whole point of it going to the VOC, as do the funds from stolen and recovered.

Im sure we have all had mixed experiences with the police, Simple fact is they are only doing a job, sure some do get a little carried away and head strong but when you get burgled, your car gets stolen, your subject to a home invasion or domestic violence they are the first guys you call.

Im sure with them its the same as a car club or any sort of association, its the few bad ones that lable the rest!

yeah mate i'll call them! only to fill out paper work for insurance purposes and i'm quite happy sleeping with my katana on the wall

victims of crime does not cover personal property loss or damage. it covers hospital fees n shrink visits n such it is far from a bad thing however it is not a bottomless fund and therefore not perfect enough to cover your stolen and damaged cars

calm the friggen f*ck down how bout you worry about it when your car gets solded. im sure it wont be the first offence they take your car and sell it so you should get some warning

    • They are under bucket shims. Tomei provides a test shim kit and then any measurement of shim required.
    • I always wondered how you were supposed to buy a set of 24 buckets and somehow magically have every single one of them yield exactly the desired clearance. I would have thought you'd need to assemble a cam with either 12 "sample" or "example" buckets of known top thickness (or a single such sample/example 12 times over!!) measure clearances at every valve, and then do the usual math to work out what the actual "shimness" of each bucket needed to be, before buying the required buckets to make up he thicknesses that you didn't have on hand.
    • I now seem to be limited in power due to my rev limit/hydraulic lifters in my built RB25. I'm looking into converting over to Tomei solid lifters. Question for anyone that has done the conversion. I was always under the impression that when using the Tomei solid lifter conversion, you would also require new valves (Longer or shorter stems, I can't remember which).  I don't know where I got this idea, as so far I see no mention of this in any of the Tomei documentation. It just states I need the Tomei solid buckets, solid lifter cams and upgraded springs. As my head is already built, all I would need is another set of 1000$ Kelford cams, 500$ buckets and about 4H hours of my time installing and I'm off to the races!?!? There's no way it's that simple, I must be missing something?
