Got offered a DR 30 R200 LSD today, $1200. So can someone tell me the specs of this item?

Are they a longnose or short nose? Are they IRS like my R180? What ratio could I expect? and would it be a hassle changing over as I'm really wanting to just plain swap it over?

$400 for an R200 LSD longnose from a DR30 is a bargain mate, and I'm pretty sure the 31 IRS is the shortnose anyway. From memory the longnose R200 into your car passingewe should be a straight bolt in including axles.

The R200's in the DR30/31 are all long nose specials only difference between the two diffs is the half shafts being thicker on the 31. If you can get R200 LONG NOSE diffs for $400 clams snap em up cause they'll only sell for more!! R200 SHORT NOSE sell for bugger all because they're common as!

R200s aren't that special.

Well, not $1200 special anyway.

They are way bigger then an r180.

You will need the r200 shafts and moustache bar.

Then depends on the flange for the tailshaft too.

If you shop around you may find a bargain.

I got one for $290. With the bigger crown wheel bolts too.

All 3 are R200 mechanical lsd's. Prolly a little loose, take em to a good diff specialist and get em tightened up.

R200s are great diffs.

What I meant was there is no shortage of them.

Lots O cars had em.

280/300zx's, HR31's, DR30's

The zed ones come with a really cool alloy finned backplate.

just got to do a little searching at the wreckers.

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
