JAV360
Need i say more, bloody commo drivers. Last night driving home, out of nowhere this commo comes from the right lane and cut me off, i was in the left lane on main north road and he decided he wants to turn left down John rice ave. Smashed up the front, not sure if right off yet, have to wait assers decision. May be wrecking with heaps of parts available. Will post up when i hear verdict. Cheers to Ben for hanging around when the crash happend, Sorry i can't remember your misses name, but also thanks. As the airbags have deployed it will almost certainly be a write off although if your chassis is not bent the front looks repairable - buy the wreck and get an R34 front![nb Stageas had a 5 star crash rating and having written mine off after leaving the highway and hitting a culvert I can say it is well deserved - I walked away with a few cuts and bruises and a headache]. JAV360
Me and the misses walked away ok, just shocked the hell outta me. Yeah i didn't even consider the airbags. I always said if the front got damaged i'd do the 34 front, but i think the damage is a bit too extensive. GTR91
Terrible news - at least your not injured though, and you have insurance. I hope your car isn't a right off and you get enough cash from the smash to R34 the front end. I cant see why not, you've already got the rims to match. M I K E
damn least you're ok airbags have popped so chances of them writing it off are higher. you'll be able to buy the wreck back from your insurer for next to nothing though Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/255050-commo-losers/#findComment-4400733 Share on other sites
BKC34
shit man sorry to hear about this, i know i would absolutely devastated if my stag got written off, even tho it would be cool going on the search for a new one, and a nother big road trip back to cairns haha hope all works out for you mate Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/255050-commo-losers/#findComment-4400778 Share on other sites
BensDR30
Ouchy... Thankfully (for you) the impact doesn't look like it was too great. If there's one driving trait that I'm starting to notice more around here, it's blind lane changing. Usually by people who get upset at you for being in their way! JAV360
Getting the car towed back to my house today so i can asses the damage a bit better. Has anyone had to replace airbags? The steering wheel will be no problem but i'm just thinking about the passenger side whether it will just require the airbag and the cover rather than having to replace the whole dash. Also do series 1 have seat belt pretensioners? if so will they need replacing? All help appreciated. M I K E
you won't have to replace the whole dash, just the air bag unit you'd probably want to look at getting something like this http://page2.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/b84261688 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/255050-commo-losers/#findComment-4402395 Share on other sites

M I K E
looks like a fairly solid impact too, the drivers side strut tower looks like it's moved a bit - the bent strut brace gives that away Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/255050-commo-losers/#findComment-4402696 Share on other sites
