cost - $1500 fairly firm.

history - i picked it up from jap import spares in adelaide, was freshly rebuilt with zero km's on it. ran it on my rb20 for approx. 5,000km's making 217.5kw/atw @16psi. early december i changed driveline to rb25, which this turbo was bolted onto, as a 'just for now use'. which it is still currently bolted up to. on approx 8-9th of feb it will be removed and available for sale.

reason for sale - have changed to rb25, the 2530 is a bit on the smaller side for what i want to do with the car. i have purchased and picked up a top mounted, externally gated gt3082r so this is the onli reason for sale. this turbo was perfect on my rb20 r32.

location - adelaide (north east).

p/up or delivery - would obviously prefer a local buyer, but if not freight can be arranged at buyers cost.

contact - ben (me) via pm, message here or call or txt me on 0438554500

also just for knowledge, this turbo is currently running on my rb25det, its an extremely responsive option with a full 16psi made at approx 2,200rpm :)

for example i can amply drive around in the adelaide hills (cudley creek etc) and leave in 4/5th gear easily pulling well from 60km/h onwards. but this also is to do with the talk of the rb25.

if your after a low down response monster out of your rb25 then this is the turbo for you.

i am after higher power levels, which is where this turbo will run out of puff... perhaps good for 250kw at the wheels running 20+ psi thro it but being a bb turbo it'll take it.

Thanks for PM reply. Very interested ... going to see ATS today to discuss my turbo versus your turbo. I'd like to take a look at the condition of it maybe tomorrow night?

The 2530 is an awesome turbo Reuben - I have an HKS one on my R34 - couldn't be happier with response and power. It is making a lazy 230rwkw with standard fuel reg, standard injectors, auto trans and an SAFCII tune.

but 216 seems a bit on the low side? wat others mods did u have to ur car to get that power??

217.5 kw/atw

it was on an rb20det remember :)

mods at the time were only;

nismo 555

z32

niztune remap ecu

greddy fmic

greddy ebc

hks2530

hks solid intake

3.5" exhaust from turbo (no cats no mufflers)

thats was about it back then, it was also an extremely safe tune... was setup for an all rounder any time any day, everyday sorta thing :)

    • Working through possible solutions of converting my mechanical speedo.    Anyone know what type of speedo sensor the factory r34 gtr getrag has ? what the output is ? I assume its not a VSS and more a voltage like earlier speedo sensors ? Can an ECU read it ?

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
