The fitting in the side of the block is a tapered 3/4 BSP thread..

Nobody (that i can find) makes a 3/4 tapered bsp fitting with a AN -10 or -12 male on the other side...

To 'jam' a 3/4 BSP parrarel thread into it is just plain dodgy, and you always run the risk of the damn thing leaking,

not to mention that most of the thread will not be used and looks terrable hanging out.

Does anybody know where I can get a fitting, otherwise,

I guess I'm gonna have to buy some tooling and make up a few and sell them to cover the costs.

Yea, I looked at that..

But I was totally stumped when I spent over an hour on the phone and a few hours on the net and NOBODY listed it!

I have seen lots of people who have done this mod, and I was shocked that I cant find a fitting.

I can make the fitting, I'll have to buy a few bits to do it, but it looks like I gonna have my own little market for this!

That is just the tip of the iceberg however, while I was looking, I also couldn't find a single fitting with a tapered BSP thread that has an 'AN' fitting on the other side of any size.

that means that I couldn't find any fittings that join an 'AN' fitting to anything that bolts into the engine. Oil or water..

All the 'AN' threads I found were parrarel.

Proflow make one that fits. You can get it from www.vpw.com.au i was at our local brake place and they have two sitting there and i matched the thread up with the bung i pulled out of an rb30 block and it has a dash 10 fitting on the end of it. Im goin to get the fitting for my motor on monday and ill post a photo of it up and let u know how it fits into the block.

What I mean is, I get my hose guy to use crimp teflon braid, not AN stuff.

They can cut and silver solder the hose tail off the factory fitting, then make the rest out of crimped braid. Works every time.

Stick to banjos for the water lines, it's easier to keep everything away from the exhaust too.

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
