hey guy just need help or suggestions with my wiring/engine. i have a vl calais with an r34 neo engine and manual box. bigger turbo, bigger injectors, aftermarket greddy plenum so wiring also dosnt fit. have standard computer etc. spent ages wiring up as loom was cut in several spots. managed to get it to a stage where it was cranking but would fire. had no injector pulse or spark. cas is new but had to use harness plug from rb 20 to fit. after a few weeks of playing got over it and ripped whole harness out. ive heard ill need and aftermarket comp anyway and also heard that rb25 wiring will fit just will have to use r33 aftermarket comp such as apexi power fc? so what do you think i should do. either go with that set up to save dramas or send my harness out somewhere if possible to be wired up correct. any help would be appreciated as ive searched heaps of places and sites etc over the last few months. all where helpful but not mush info at all. cheers

really there quite a few things i can think of to check, you may need to be more descriptive about what is and isn't working? fuel pump priming, ecu got power, etc.

and yes, if you have a bigger turbo and bigger injectors you will need and aftermarket ecu. depending on what ecu you choose, if you can get the standard engine loom wiring up right you might be able to get a plug in ecu. if you cant get the wiring sorted then just get a full wire in aftermarket ecu.

    • haha don't worry I'm sue you've got more fun ahead buying a 30 year old turbo car....but at least you are in the right place to ask
    • some days eh? The keyless entry and interior light on/off with the key will be controlled by the Body Control Module, but I'm not certain where that is or what it looks like (you might get lucky with a search to get a part#, which could be printed on it). I'd start at the A pillar/ Under dash/kick panel on the driver's side
    • It might be hit and miss, but Nissan Genuine Parts and Pitworks are not the same thing, although both are available from Nissan Dealers with Nissan Part Numbers. Nissan Genuine Parts are the OEM stuff, Pitworks are their attempt to get people back from generic parts makers
    • I did end up getting it sorted, as GTSBoy said, there was a corroded connection and wire that needed to be replaced. I ended up taking out the light assembly, giving everything a good clean and re-soldered the old joints, and it came out good.
    • Wow, thanks for your help guys 🙏. I really appreciate it. Thanks @Rezz, if i fail finding any new or used, full or partial set of original Stage carpets i will come back to you for sure 😉 Explenation is right there, i just missed it 🤦‍♂️. Thanks for pointing out. @soviet_merlin in the meantime, I received a reply from nengun, and i quote: "Thanks for your message and interest in Nengun. KG4900 is for the full set of floor mats, while KG4911 is only the Driver's Floor Mat. FR, RH means Front Right Hand Side. All the Full Set options are now discontinued. However, the Driver's Floor Mat options are still available according to the latest information available to us. We do not know what the differences would be, but if you only want the one mat, we can certainly see what we can find out for you". Interesting. It seems they still have some "new old stock" that Duncan mentioned 🤔. I wonder if they can provide any photos......And i also just realized that amayama have G4900 sets. I'm tempted too.
