R32 Gtr 2nd Gear Slow Down Clunk? What The

gday crew i have myself a little clunk that is gettin to me.

when i slow down say at a set of lights nice and calm like i shift down into second gear and just before its time to put the clutch in (15-10km/h) and come to a complete stop the car jumps forward and makes a nice big clunk from the mid to rear of the car. it feels as if the car is relaxing with some free play somewhere in the drive line after being bound up. i dont know wether its a bind up issue or if its something completely different. anyone had this problem or got any ideas? as always all help is appreciated and feel free to ask questions.

First off, waste of time and energy to shift down when coming to a "nice and calm" stop at lights.

Anyway, back to the problem; when you are off-throttle, the injectors shut down. When you get to something like 1200 rpm, they start up again. Do you think it's happening in this rev range? Maybe wear and tear in the drive line is accentuating the pickup of the injectors.

First thought to me - engine mount?

They can make some weird clunk / thunk noises under acceleration / braking because of the engine moving more than they should (Have had that on cars I've owned before ... )

yeah that deffinitely the rev range man. thanks for that. i will have a listen and see if i cant hear some engine kickin in again. if i can hear it over the exhaust that is. cheers

its only under the decel cirsumstance at that low rpm man so not thinkin engine mounts just yete. thanks for the helps!!

anyone else with any other ideas its goin well so far but if there is anything im happy to listen (read*)
