Hi,

I have a Uas Cromemoly One Piece Tailshaft on my r33 gtst make sure ur unis/yoke are in top condition otherwise u will have to get new ones as i had 2!

I made bout 5rwkws more but its tighter and seemed like power delivery or transfer to wheels was quicker.

As that was the only driveline mod i have done to date i believe it was one of the best investments to date.

Forgot to mention u have to notify Unique/John/Tim u dont want it sprayed black otherwise u will recieve it painted lol.

10/10 for quality built and Cheap price for group buy Johno.

Cheers All

Peter

P.s. Week turnaround is normal.

Thanks for the feedback Peter, its good to hear such positive comments from someone who has bought the tailshaft.

sounds like we need a package deal drive in drive out with the new tail shaft .......a free service would be nice ......maybe if we get some more people.

Lol, I will see what I can do regading the change over. Im pretty sure I have a spare r33 gtst shaft at home which could get the ball rolling for the gtst owners..

I doubt a free fitting service will be provided lol.

Cheers,

Johno

There is a no exchange version.. to quote JohnP:

"We just did a one piece on GTS-T and went form about 12kg to around 9.5kg

For GTS-T we can do a complete new tailshaft with stronger and serviceable uni's

which we just put on our site. So no exchange and can do for 5 or more $660

each, gtr would be much more as they have a CV joint and still waiting for

price on these."

It is POA for installs, just tell JohnP you are part of the SAU group buy.

how many people are in and how many are just hot air

At present, 3 are serious.. I would like to extend the GB till the 24/4 so we can get the numbers and have a price for the GTR no exhange tailshaft.

Haha thanks Andrew, sorry to hear about your GB mate bloody yanks.

At present we need one more person for the GTST's.

Pricing for the GTR one peice with servicable unis (non return item) is to be advised.

Cheers

Johno

hey i'm definitely in, I have an r32 4 door running an rb30 with rb25 gearbox and gtr diff and rear end. Can you work out the corrrect length of the shaft? so if i ring uas and tell them about the group buy can io buy it off them directly for the better price.

regards Jordan

Hey Jordan,

Sorry mate you will have to measure it up etc.. I do not want to take responsibility if your shaft is not correct.

The GB will be submitted at once and made as one payment (one invoice, once transaction etc)

Cheers

Unfortunately we just dont have the numbers to go ahead with the gb, well not yet anyway.. I'll talk to unique to see if we can reduce the numbers..

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
