Hey guys i hav buddy 1 coilovers in my 32 an i want to lower the rear about 1 1/2'' now the springs are as low as they can go.Not sure what springs they are or rate but they are blue with 8 coils,so would i go to a 10 coil or so ? an where is the best place to get these? im in Brissy..thanks

I tried to get a set of softer springs for street driving, I contacted Buddyclub, they told me they don't have different option for the D1 coilover

yes you are right as no other options,but went an spoke to suspension mob an they can do me a custom set of rear springs made for $280

do u need to go buddy club springs? can u not just go a replacement spring from one of the many spring manufacturers?

btw u wanna go a shorter spring, not a longer one.

So to lower the car i need to wind the shock adjuster up is this true? new to coilovers an i was told it works the opposite so i need a longer spring to lower it more, thats why im a bit confused an the suspension shop didnt even mention this to me,in any other given situation you do need a lower spring to lower the car.

ok ill try and explain this, as i think i know the train of thought ur on atm. basically if u sit 2 springs on the ground vertically, one 6" and one 8" both the same spring rate, then chuck a 300kg weight on them, the weight on the longer spring will sit higher.

if u got 8 coils, to go lower u'd want 6 coils (as an example). try contacting AAI in sydney. im sure they will show u the right direction as theyre buddyclub distributors :)

      Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch.       A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
