I went and did a wheel alignment on the R33 (1993) last weekend.

The guys said I need an adjustable camber kit installed on the front.

This kit contains the following

4 bushes

2 shafts

4 bolts

4 washes ==> Costs $181.00

Has anyone put this type of kit in before.

I dont want to wear out the 18's, so thats why I want the kit, not for racing or modifying or anything.

Who would be the best people to talk to and price wise.

Im guessing your car is lowered? So having the adjustability up front will allow the correct amount of camber to be dialled n.

So you should end up with better front tyre wear, as long as they dont go any more extreme then 1.5deg.

Pirce would seemsa about right, i cnt remember what i paid but it never hurts to ring a competitor.

Yeah, it sounds about right. I got the whiteline kit about 4 months ago for $160+freight through their website. They're pretty easy to install if you want to have a go yourself, takes about 20min per side from wheel off to wheel on. As Roy

said -1.5 Deg is good for street use.

The guys at Fulcrum in Brisbane said..."It's a big **** around mate to put them on."

Fulcrum -Marooka (Brisbane)

Parts $142.52

Install $143.00

Wheel Align $88.00 (Front and Back)

Total: $373.52

But if its easier than what u say, well then I might give it a go.

Yeah, I went to Fulcrum Stafford, their labour costs are ridiculous, good quality gear just insane labour costs. It is that easy, I would say 30min tops per side. They are a bastard to adjust though. Still need to get a wheel alignment afterwards though. Jack car up, remove wheel, remove bolt which connects shock to lower wishbone, undo upper/outer wishbone nut/bolt, slide assemble out (if it hasn't corroded in), all falls apart, slide new camber pin/bushes into place with plenty of provided silicon grease, put it back together. Easy!

Yep, installation of this type of thing is pretty easy, it's the setup that hard.

Id put them in, set them roughly and then drive it down to get aligned.

Also, if the car is lowered then you will definately need the rears done aswell, they'll probably need it more than the fronts

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
