Inner West Crew Whoretown (toowong/st Lucia/kenmore/indooroopilly And Sometimes Sunnybank?)

damn bro

I feel ya though, once on my way back from QR I got stuck behind a convo of about 5 semis, so got to an overtaking lane and just nailed it to get past them all. Would have been in serious trouble had I been booked right then.

Another reason why draconian black and white speeding laws annoy me. I dropped back to the speed limit as soon as I completed overtaking, but would have had no mercy had I been booked in that moment.

Chin up though, dan survived 6 months without a licence, and his dad doesnt have a home brew setup ;)

Shouldn't your suspension be set? Or do u have more fines after that?

you get 6 months insta ban for being over 40km/h over the speed limit and 8 points. I only have 5 points left on my license so I will get a suspension for loss of demerit points as well. Pretty sure loss of demerit points is a 3 month suspension but it could be 6 months. so yeah...

Gbers that's no good.

Not really.

Got to look at the bright side I spose. I get to live on the Gold Coast for a year. The way things are going I might be able to keep it which would be sweet. Would probably be smarter to sell it and be debt free for awhile though.

In 35/40 years of driving I have been without a license for 1x 12 year period. a couple of 12 month stints and numerous 3 and 6 month slots.

You can do 6 months standing on your head Col.

it does go surprisingly quickly, but take it to court and try for a work lisence my brother is on one at the moment

The 6 months doesn't bother me at all. I f**ked up I get a holiday from the roads for awhile. Just a matter of sorting everything out so its all sweet with work and uni etc.

Yeah it will fly by lol. I can't apply for a work license because I've had one in the last 5 years so all the loopholes n shit are closed up. I've just got to take it on the chin.

License has been suspended for 6 months plus possibly another 3-6 after that.

Should only be a fixed 6 months, they cant just say 'we think we wana give you more time"

It will be all in one.. eg, you serve just 6 months

I thought that was only for drink driving?

I've been knocked back trying to get one for loss of points

Overtaking a semi and 4 other cars going up the hill through Canungra. I was in the overtaking lane but as I got to the top the highway patrol car came over the crest and got me. ;) 121km/h in a 70 zone. $933 fine and 8 points.

Your turning into me?

It will be all in one.. eg, you serve just 6 months

"If the 8 demerit points for this offence cause you to exceed your demerit point limit, this will result in another period of suspension for accumulation of points that is separate to the 6 month speeding suspension."

That's from the little fact sheet that the cop gave me.

You can get a Special Hardship Order for a speeding offense and loss of demerit points. Its different to a work license which is only available to drink driving offenders. I've had a SHO in the past 5 years so I can't apply for another one.

Your turning into me?

God I hope not. I'm not scene enough.

Sucks to be you: I lost a serious amount of points all at once, served the min. New law changes I guess.

Good luck on hard ship, I had a lawyer do up projected earnings, loss of potential income pled a license is needed, no license, no job, no job no income and that I would sue for the loss of earnings.

No dice.

In saying this, im a C*nt with shocking history

in nearly 20 years on the road been done for speeding once...that was at Cunninghams Gap going home after the Winternationals this year...it was in my work truck...lol. Was going to write a letter to see if i could get out of it...but didn't worry about it and just paid the $330 fine.

The real test here is whether or not your car has had the steering put back together by a butcher. When the steering is centred (and we're not caring about the wheel too much here, we're talking about the front wheels, parallel, facing front) then you should have an absolutely even number of turns from centre to left lock and centre to right lock. If there is any difference at all then perhaps the thing has been put back together wrongly, either the steering wheel put on one spline (or more!) off, and the alignment bodged to straighteb the wheel, or the opposite where something silly was done underneath and the wheel put back on crooked to compensate. Nut there isn't actually much evidence that you have such a problem anyway. It is something you can easily measure and test for to find out though. My money is still on the HICAS CU not driving the PS solenoid with the proper PWM signal required to lighten the load at lower speed. If it were me, I would be putting either a multimeter or oscilloscope onto the solenoid terminals and taking it for a drive, looking for the voltage to change. The PWM signal is 0v, 12V, 0V, 12v with ...obviously...modulated pulse width. You should see that as an average voltage somewhere between 0V and 12V, and it should vary with speed. An handheld oscilloscope would be the better tool for this, because they are definitely good enough but there's no telling if any cheap shit multimeter that people have lying around are good enough. You can also directly interfere with the solenoid. If you wire up a little voltage divider with variable resistor on it, and hook the PS solenoid direct to 12V through that, you can manually adjust the voltage to the solenoid and you should be able to make it go ligheter and heavier. If you cannot, then the problem is either the solenoid itself dead, or your description of the steering being "tight" (which I have just been assuming you mean "heavy") could be that you have a mechanical problem in the steering and there is heaps of resistance to movement.
    • Little update  I have shimmed the solenoid on the rack today following Keep it Reets video on YouTube. However my steering is still tight. I have this showing on Nisscan, my steering angle sensor was the closest to 0 degrees (I could get it to 0 degrees by small little tweaks, but the angle was way off centre? I can't figure this out for the life of me. I get no faults through Nisscan.
    • The BES920 is like the Toyota Camrys of coffee machines. E61 group head is cool, however the time requirements for home use makes it less desirable. The Toyota Camry coffee machine runs twin boilers and also PID temp control, some say it produces coffees as good as an E61 group head machine.
    • And yes with a full tank it will hit limiter free revving or driving 6B6CDF6E-4094-426D-A9CB-6C553475FE36.mp4
    • One way of putting the fuel surge idea to rest, is that even when in neutral/clutch in or free revving it still has the same issue, it can’t even get to limiter (7800) so to me that says it can’t be g force, I’m not trying to argue I just want to find the f&$king issue 😡
