Hmmmm thats weird because we were asked last week to organise a cruise by the owner of nando's for this Anzac day .... with approval from centre management (the owner of nandos drives a RX7 series 8) :

lol good luck on the cruise :) we did a small cruise anzac day last yr. didnt see a single cop the whole drive but forgot to plan ahead...and got stuck at 3 lots of anzac parades.

most of which we found our way around. 1 we had to wait out (not too bad). but having said that we only had 7 cars

*carseldine was fine on thursday night...other than it being the start of the uber long weekend and very little parking to be found anywhere. (didnt head underneath). and it took me almost 10 mins to get off the road and into a park

^^^ yeah cheers, fingers crossed should be a good night....!

SAU guys are also welcome obviously! (i'll be taking my skyline to the cruise)....

Its usually the bonnet release lever that snaps off the fuse box. Is the fuse box where the bonnet release mounts to it damaged at all? Its a common problem with BA/BF falcons for them to snap. I have changed a few of the bonnet releases over. You need to change the whole cable over with it. Absolute prick of a job to do.

Yep the latch has snapped off the fuse box, looks like the mounts are destroyed as well. A friend of mine took his to ford and got it replaced under warranty, they pulled the entire fuse box out and swapped it with one that had metal on the bonnet release instead of plastic like mine.

Do you know if I would be able to get a bf fuse box and swap em over easily or is it a bitch of a job?

Fuse box is pretty easy to do from what i remember. The only pain in the arse bit is getting the wire bit of the bonnet release to pull through. When removing it you will need to drop the wheel arch liner out makes the job a bit easier. If you have mud flaps you will have great troubles getting the clips out. You shouldn't have any troubles getting a fusebox. I am not 100% sure but i think BA/BF fuse boxes are the same

Anzac day woollies is closed... so i wouldn't imagine a problem...

I'm doing up a pro/con list of FF vs FR. Anyone care to contribute? If I do it on my own I might be subconciously too bias.

What do you want to know?

What point of view are you looking at the question from? Driver? Manufacturer? Mechanical issues/reliability? Why no AWD being considered?

For example, a major pro of FF cars is the lower cost of production. This isn't much of a bonus to a driver however (unless you count purchase price into the enjoyment factor.)

In the end it comes down to your traction circle and the physical limits you can take your friction surfaces to (tyres).

Carroll Smith Has a fairly good entry level explanation of this in one of his books, tune to win I think is the one.

Dubstep fiends - about a year ago when I played CSS alot, there was a song that would come on and it had a part of summer heights high in it - "how is it ok for you to bully ben?" any ideas on song name?

    • Yea got me coppers. Bad news is I just put them in and the car still has the light and shakes. I also noticed I hear like rattling coming from the exhaust piping right under me. Does 21 also have a possibility of being O2 sensors?   So, coil packs are good, the harness is good, the MAF is working, and obviously the spark plugs just replaced and working.
    • Make sure you drop the GTT base tune back in, and set your injectors again, this will remove anything playing up with it you may have removed. Possibly lean there as it's normally a fast transient going THROUGH atmospheric pressure, and a turbo motor would then quickly go richer as boost builds. The only worry you MIGHT have is ignition timing, as the DE is higher compression than the DET from memory. But again, you're not in boost, so the DE motor will be a lot more forgiving at atmospheric.   Get Murray, Kinkstahs, and Johnny's input on tuning haltechs, those guys have played with tuning enough in the past to be able to help now you're past the trouble shooting stage of the MAP issue
    • @Rusty NutshI mate. Do you have a pinout diagram for the na neo auto ecu?
    • Yeah thats the plan now. 🤞
    • Have a chat with the tuner, you'd want to drive the car straight there.
