Inner West Crew Whoretown (toowong/st Lucia/kenmore/indooroopilly And Sometimes Sunnybank?)

What happened to the job at Indooroopilly? Thought you were meant to be working on the renovations there.

Also, if you end up working on road projects I'm going to hold you personally responsible for every pothole I hit from now until eternity :P

We still have the job at Indro but looks like I'll be changing jobs. Got a job offer that is pretty much twice what I'm on now 14/5 roster with 2 days for flying.

Find any TIs?

+1

f**kin unlikely you'll ever be driving on these roads anyway

Easy enough to blame you any way

sweet news on the job offer!

so is that 14 on, 1 fly, 5 off, 1 fly?

Yeah that's pretty much how it goes. Director wants to have a meeting on Monday to discuss it but I'm pretty set on leaving. Will be putting in my resignation on Monday and then probably be starting out there in the 22nd of May or something like that. Need to hang around to get completion stuff sorted on this project.

Mmmmmmm...

no parts to work on the leopard and too raining to work on the skyline

lazy sunday it is

I've got 2500 words to write and so far all I've done is watched Top Gear and Jimmy Carr...

After fitting the exhaust my coilpack misfire (or so i assume) seems worse. (although it only happened on track...not after i left lakeside)

there are plenty of threads on coilpacks etc on the forums, but i thought id come ask you guys personally. ive done the tape and silicone thing about 40k ago, and has lasted well since then. but now its time to replace. so my question is......(drum roll)

are yellow jackets, or the red coilpacks any good? or should i just go for the splitfires for a whole lot more folding cash? i wanna stay with standard location and fitment for the sake of keeping it neat underneath with minimal hassle (yeah i'm a bit slack at times)

I'm running yellow jackets, no complaints so far!

Straight fit and they are working like a charm.

Might be worth checking your voltage at the coil packs though, as my missing was caused by voltage drop in the wiring, fixed by a relay.

In other news, morning mangs, f*ck mondays. Did manage to get some work done on the leopard (re-fitted coil packs and replaced fuel lines), and the sun came out so I could at least swap the tyres back on the wedge.

Now definitely need leopard parts for more progress :(

cheers man, i heard you saying something like that the other day about the voltage drop. i can fix pretty much anything mechanical...but am entirely useless when it comes to electrics. So i really wouldnt know where to start. could prob find the right wires, but as for testing...thats where i get lost.

yellow jackets might be the go, my old coils have done 40k with the tape job done and that lasted a while (might even have another look)

    • Yea got me coppers. Bad news is I just put them in and the car still has the light and shakes. I also noticed I hear like rattling coming from the exhaust piping right under me. Does 21 also have a possibility of being O2 sensors?   So, coil packs are good, the harness is good, the MAF is working, and obviously the spark plugs just replaced and working.
    • Make sure you drop the GTT base tune back in, and set your injectors again, this will remove anything playing up with it you may have removed. Possibly lean there as it's normally a fast transient going THROUGH atmospheric pressure, and a turbo motor would then quickly go richer as boost builds. The only worry you MIGHT have is ignition timing, as the DE is higher compression than the DET from memory. But again, you're not in boost, so the DE motor will be a lot more forgiving at atmospheric.   Get Murray, Kinkstahs, and Johnny's input on tuning haltechs, those guys have played with tuning enough in the past to be able to help now you're past the trouble shooting stage of the MAP issue
    • @Rusty NutshI mate. Do you have a pinout diagram for the na neo auto ecu?
    • Yeah thats the plan now. 🤞
    • Have a chat with the tuner, you'd want to drive the car straight there.
