Good man Nathan as I know they are doing it tight on their track days with some of their days and rained out cancellation fees etc. If we are not carefull there will be few if any days to go to. I know the super Sprint series next year may not be running due to lack of funds and demand. We are in same boat as last track day ran at a big loss.

Hi, i attended the drift day with a couple of my mates from the central coast here who are members of SAU, i was not a member and had to register here just to write a message.

long story short ... a mate emailed me the thread about the club coming up short for the day , which is not good for when i recieve my Z in 2004 ... i would like to drift it aswell...

I paid on the day to be a passenger and for 9:10's of the day i was!... but rite at the end of the day i did a couple of laps on the figure 8 and two or three runs of the slalom battle in my friends car. I had a blast and would pay to do it again , but thing is i didnt pay to do it in the first place and i would now like to repent my sins...

and donate $50 to whoever it was that had to pony up the rest of the dough after we had our fun ...

im not sorry i had a go on the day cause it was awsome! BUT i am sorry for my dishonesty toward the club and the organisers ...

Must say I'm impressed with the number of people that are doing the right thing and owning up/living up to their word and helping Moto stay afloat for this day.

But there are still some that have not said anything. :)

:slap: Those people know who they are and I hope you will have a good think about the way your rubbing the name of our club into the dirt.

I should be mentioned now that untill the club becomes bigger and gets some CAMS quallified officials we can not run speed events of any kind. That means that people like Moto Concepts and Arron Mcgill are our only real hope of getting our cars out on Skid pans, Drive days and Drift days. Basically if we lose them money they arn't gonna want us to come and play anymore. Or charge us HUGE amounts to cover the loss. I know what it cost to run these days and these businesses are not making a lot of money from them.

Also OZ goes a long way back with these people and has been organising events since before my time. For him to say that he won't be organising another is a large blow to our club.

IMHO.

Dan.

PS. el nismo diablo if you go to this website you can send them the money. Let them know what it is for though. And Thank you.

well its like this , if it was me and i had to shell out to cover an expense ... then i would be mighty p***sed of with the offending persons who put me out of pocket, i am the worst for doing the wrong thing , if i know ive done wrong it eats away at me untill i go and appologise or try to fix the wrong...

i once started freaking out case a security guard took my licence plate number for lighting up the front hoops on my pulsar ... in a carpark somewhere, he wouldnt have done much, it was a lousy burnout anyway.

i was dwelling on it for days LoL.

nah , i just dont wanna see the potential for fun go down the tubes !

    • What 1.5 way? There's no such thing really as a 1.5 way, just different ways of explaining 2 ways with different ramp rates. HOWEVER. In any driving in a straight line your 1.5 or 2 or 1.7 way should have no clunking at all. With the clutch fully depressed the diff should be silent (unless it's welded but I'm assuming it's not). Something aint right here.
    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
