How Are Wolf 3d's Setup?

I have been looking at different ECU's for my R33 and one thing im not sure about is. How is a Wolf3d setup?

Can you load a base map and go from there? Do you need to buy the exact model for your car? Or are they just all universal and you have to set everything up from scratch?

pretty much from scratch. most tuners that use them regularly will have a stockish map saved to load on, saves a lot of time enterting the values for the different sensers etc.

the new models called wollf v500 too by the way

you can buy a plug in wolf, which should come with a base map for the model that its 'plugging' into

ok cool. because i might be able to get one 2nd hand. But i cant find any that have been on a R33. So can i just get a addapter plug so it will plug into the factory loom?

scroll down the front page. don't know if it's still on, but they where offering cheap upgrades to the wolf v500 if you have the v4.

You are more likely to find Apexi Power FC's 2nd hand for R33's. The Wolf's are not as common and again not as common on R33's. WOLF make plug in ECU's and looms for R33's. And have a base map for a stock engine.

Wolf's do not need to run of AFM sensor. And the new V500 can run without TPS like my car is.

It does need a water temp sensor and a MAP sensor though

I thought the V500's come with a map sensor as part of the ecu?

they do. can't remember how many bar it can handle, but i'm using the stock one with a peak of 22psi. so at least that. 2-3 bar i think.
