Hi guys,

Typical Laws of Murphy: I put my car up for sale, then something goes wrong! The trim piece around the lock barrel on the exterior drivers door handle decided to end its association with the rest of the door handle and fall off. It was subsequently run over (doh! Damn you, Murphy!!), so I am in need of a replacement.

I've done the ringaround to as many places as I could think of, but not many seem to stock V35 bits and pieces. Nissan can source me one, but at 4 weeks and extortionate cost, I'm a bit hesitant to use them...

I was hoping someone might have seen a V35 being wrecked, or possibly know of someone who is parting one out??

does anyone know if they're the same as another model; Maxima, for instance?

Any help is appreciated!

Cheers,

Micah

yeh they are a rip...... interior handles for 80 bux..... and 150 for the kickplates....... but hey if this is your last resort then why not. passenger side is a wreck so all the best on the driver side.

micah,

show me what you mean - I may be able to get it ex japan (which car is this? chassis number pls.)

It's the silver car, and this is the culprit: the clip on the back is broken, but I'm not sure whether that was the cause, or whether it broke when the piece was run over....

chassis number is cpv35505067

Cheers.

  • 2 weeks later...
I can get that bit. not sure if it comes painted though.

I'll check in the morn as its a bit late now.

Hi Chris, any more info?? Need to make a decision on this, as the car is for sale...

Cheers,

Micah

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
