Dan_J
ok, so i'm trying to tidy up the cefiro. my indicators flash faster then normal, like 2 times in one second where as the hazards are normal rate at like once a second. so i found the stock indicator box swaped in one from autobarn and it still flashes at the same fast rate. anyone know if there are 2 flash rate indicator box's ? and if so where's it at? or is this common thing for the indicators to flash faster on the ceffy? mine is a 1988 ceffy. Basti
no idea if im right but it can be due to the bulb you've put/got in there. i remember reading bout someone who swapped to leds for their indicators and the rate went up. something to do with resistance i believe Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/265736-indicator-flash-rate/#findComment-4537693 Share on other sites

Dan_J
thanks for the info guys, yea the 2 front bar indicators are striped off the plug so i'll wire them up and see if that fixes it Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/265736-indicator-flash-rate/#findComment-4537944 Share on other sites
daisu
Yep that will be it. It's a feature found on all cars, they flash faster when a bulb is blown so you know to check them and replace it. Though sometimes they will start flashing fast because of bad contact between the bulb and bulb holder, corrosion in the plug or the wiring loom. LED bulbs will also cause this because LEDs have a high resistance compared to regular bulbs.
