iamhe77
Fark!!! Just checked... Only the outside one is connected to anything!! I feel cheated.. At least the OEM R33 GTS-T muffler was a genuine twin outlet. On the plus side, a new muffler, now counts as a performance mod, rather than just a cosmetic change... and you wonder why I say exhaust should be the 1st mod done to a turbo M35? atomaly
i've been trying to figure out what exaust i have on my RS4S. what does the "SR" stand for on the label thing underneath? i know blitz do a nuspec SR exhaust.. although mine seems a tad corroded for me to make anything more out on it than the SR. i found this one online.... aparantly a blitz nur spec SR "JASMA" stamp from Blitz keeps the police happy in JP apparently?? just want to know if i'm on the right track or totally wrong? Blitz makes sense as i have a Blitz FMIC, Blitz BOV, and i think its a Blitz POD filter.. but unsure as i cant see any stamps on it. i presume he had a thing for Blitz Edited July 1, 2009 by atomaly Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/265962-exhaust-options-is-it-better-to-keep-this-big-one-or-go-back-to-standard/page/4/#findComment-4689230 Share on other sites
zei20l
hmm blitzy! yeah it probably is a blitz, if the rest of the car is.... and Jasma is (so im lead to believe) a testing place that approve the exhaust sound levels. however i think their limit is 96db where in australia its 92(i think) but thats pretty close Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/265962-exhaust-options-is-it-better-to-keep-this-big-one-or-go-back-to-standard/page/4/#findComment-4689346 Share on other sites

zei20l
if its not on one of the stainless cans, or on the tip, it may not be on the exhaust at all. my apexi N1 didnt have any branding anywhere on it, but came out of an apexi box! Bis-e Bee
Isn't 96dB is twice as loud as 92dB? Just adding some useless information When Jet & I were in Charlestone Exhaust fitting his dump pipe, Bruce needed some help with testing the dB of a overdone Ford that was there LOL Jet held the sound thingie and it registered a 120db if memory serves me right LOL It was noisy, and smelly Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/265962-exhaust-options-is-it-better-to-keep-this-big-one-or-go-back-to-standard/page/4/#findComment-4690710 Share on other sites
zei20l
the epa test is quite specific with exhaust testing. so its entirely possible he would get a lower reading. mind you its still over but who cares, its a volvo, and clearly that P plater in the skyline has the loud exhaust.......
